Well located, and reception area is funky and nice. Rooms are clean but need renovation. Older bathrooms and walks could use a fresh coat of paint. Reception staff friendly and courteous. Bartender has major attitude.

What I didn’t like was the price for what I expected vs what I got. Advertised a spa for couples massage which was solely the reason I booked there for my girlfriend and my birthday. The room was small was tripping over luggage. Bathroom bigger than sleeping area. Tv didn’t work remote was old and worn out. Staff was excellent though very friendly and the short im terrible with names but she was very friendly and helpful and personable easy to talk to and gave good recommendations where to eat what to do

I always feel at home at International House. The lobby and bar is quaint and beautiful. I love that I can go downstairs in the morning in my PJ’s for the morning coffee service. The staff is always so friendly.

Overall, my experience was great. I do wish the bedsheet that separates you from the mattress was tucked underneath and there was a chair in the room. Also, be aware, valet is $42.00 plus tax, not $40.00 like they told me, and they charge $17.70 a night for amenities, which is not included in the booking price.

A refund was process and is pending expedia refund after someone attempted to enter my room from the roof! A police report was filed and there s an open investigation into the hotel. My attorney will likely contact Expedia as well. Luckily I am not a hard sleeper, this person waited until they assumed my 8 year old son and I was sleeping. This charge with Expedia was also disputed with my bank!

The property was nice, room was clean. They had no idea what I was talking about when I told them I was a gold rewards member. Never got our free tour. Thats one of the reasons I went with this hotel.

Bed was comfortable. Room was a good size. Restaurant was always closed when we were in the hotel, but there is a good breakfast restaurant across the street. No vending machines available, so be sure to bring drinks and snacks with you.

Called to get extra towels and ice, because they don’t have ice machines. Got attitude about it over the phone for some reason. Was supposed to have a fridge in room, went down to front desk and was told I would be getting one, even got a follow up call. Nothing came of it. Shower had no shelves to put shower accessories on. Water went from hot to cold. No door on shower, almost fell on the wet bathroom floor. Had to put towels on the floor. For what I paid (also paid extra to get into the room earlier) it wasn’t worth it. Uncomfortable mattress and small tv. Room was hard to navigate with two people. Will not return.

This hotel is an absolute gem. Each and every staff member was kind, generous and very helpful. Its a gorgeous space and easily walked to Mardi Gras parades, plenty of delicious restaurants, and every convenience was just a few steps away. It was an incredible experience.

The property is in a great location, so you can walk to many areas. The property itself, though, left a lot to be desired. First, in the picture of the room on the website, it shows a desk and a side chair. The room we had was small and had only a bed. I used the luggage rack as a chair and the bed as a desk. Also, there was no hot water the whole three nights we were there, only lukewarm water. Lastly, though I realize likely just an anomaly, the fire sprinkler system had an alarm beeping in the closet next to our room the whole time we were there. It was extremely annoying and I was surprised they weren't more attentive in resolving it.

Experience at check-in was disappointing. No upgrade offered, no VIP perks provided. I inquired with Expedia. CHRIS turned it all around and made it a great trip by accommodate the upgrade and perks…that guy is a gem!

We liked the historical charm of the building and its in a good location. Missed the mark on elegance. Think rental property attention to detail opposed to primary residence. Lobby felt very unsecured, sometimes no staff in there at all.

Our first visit to New Orleans had us staying at the International House Hotel. Upon arriving we were greeted by Ramon at the front desk with a smile and welcoming attitude. Throughout our stay Ramon was there to help with ideas to make our visit fun and comfortable. Our corner King room was very spacious and the bed super comfortable. Street noise was almost non existent. The bar in the lobby is stunning and the artwork throughout the hotel fascinating. Seeing an original wall size Banksy located in the lobby was amazing and the story behind it even more incredible. All in all, our visit was comfortable, quiet and enjoyable. Our next visit to NOLA was certainly include a stay at IHH.
