Close to the French quarters.

Nice location to the sights and sounds of the heart of Nola! Walking distance to lots of great eateries. Can find self parking a few blocks away for $15-20 per night with in and out privileges so no need to valet at the hotel for $40 per night. The bed was a little too soft for me. The bathroom was nice and large, but the tub was too high when getting out and so was the shower head. Luckily, my husband is 6 feet tall who adjusted it. There was a mini fridge in the room which is always a plus for water and leftovers. All in all, the hotel and the room was nice.

From the time you enter and the fragrance to when you leave, a wonderful surprise of quality.

Within walking distance.

Posted Jul 9, 2017
The hotel was within walking distance to everything in the French Quarter while being a safe distance away. The hotel was extremely basic as upon entering the lobby, there was an option to turn left to go to the bar, or turn right and go to the front desk; walking straight back led to the elevator to the rooms. This hotel was rated as 4-star but I am not sure what made it 4-star. I have no complaints other than the air was at the highest it could go for the majority of our stay and it still seemed to be a bit warm. We had to pay $15 additional a night for a room with a window - which was fine but not really needed. The television in the room was small in comparison to other hotels I've stayed in so if you're looking to spend time in your room - I might look elsewhere. The bed felt like the spare bed in my grandmothers house as it sort of "sunk" when you sat on it and was kind of loud when settling in for the night. Overall, the location was great, the rooms were clean, it was no frills, and pretty straight forward.

Elegantly appointed

Posted Jul 9, 2017
I shared a queen bedroom with one other person. The room was clean and tidy, and I loved the height of the bed. Front desk service was pretty middle of the road, definitely not rude but not the chipper type either. I expected a livelier spot based on the Loa bar description, but the hotel was actually very very quiet despite being fully booked. The service and drinks at loa are awesome. I'd stay again and carve out some time for that. Location-wise I could not be happier - close to the whole gamut food, shopping, dining for every budget. Their pricing was an issue. The room advertises for one rate, then did a rate increase while booking, and this kept happening. That's pretty tricky. Overall, I would recommend the hotel, but stalk the room prices.

The best hotel yet!

Posted Jul 5, 2017
I've been to New Orleans at least once a year for the past several years and this has been my best hotel experience thus far. It was in walking distance to all the attractions, the staff was awesome and the hotel is beautiful. I think this will be my hotel for all future visits. Thank you!

A hotel with great character and location and very friendly staff. A welcoming environment in a relatively quiet part of town. Nice bar area. Fresh complementary coffee each morning in the lobby. Highly recommend.

....haven't stayed in a hotel for many, many years so I don't have much in the way of comparison...BUT!...on this *working* trip to pack up a storage unit and all that it entails:0\, I was quite often in the mindset of, "oof, I'm ready to get home"...and I was not speaking of where I'm sitting right now, out west, across the country...no!, no!, I was referring to my easy, chill, spa-like `10-day home address` of 221 Camp St, New Orleans!!;-)

Nice Friendly Hotel

Posted May 31, 2017
Clean room excellent staff. No coffee maker in room was a disappointment but coffee was available at the lobby in the morning but after that they do not even sell coffee or food in the bar. Also no continental breakfast but apples and bananas also available in the lobby till 11am. Good location 2 short blocks to French Quarter. The front desk was very helpful whenever we asked for directions or suggestions of where to go or eat.

Great location - close to good restaurants, French

Posted May 31, 2017
Pros: The atmosphere felt very New Orlean's style and not chain-like typical hotel style. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location, close
Cons: The maid service was okay, didn't always clean the bathroom floor (still saw hair on the floor).
Location: Great location: Royal St. just around the corner, close to good restaurants and only minutes away from the French Quarter.
Had a really great experience, our room was very comfortable, tried to put us on a nice floor with a sitting area for more privacy. Found the staff extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful.
