Not what you'd expect for a JWPosted Sep 28, 2015
We stayed two nights and we're not impressed at all. Our room was tiny and nothing special about it. We felt like we were in a regular 3 star hotel. We had 3 more nights at the Westin down the street and it is a much better property and a lot cheaper. Better views, rooms are bigger and much better. I was just not impressed at all with this JW. The staff was great though.

Wonderful Location and Staff in NOLAPosted Sep 21, 2015
Pros: Location and Staff.
Cons: Room decor felt a little "tired" for a premier hotel brand.
Location: Superdome, French Quarter, Harrah's Casino and Audubon a short walk away.
Never tried the JW Marriott here but was pleased. Not the best timing as the Canal Street side and some of the interior is undergoing some substantial rennovation...though sure it will be top notch when completed. The staff were incredibly inviting and personable. Pretty busy place and Valet was slammed so opted to drive around and find a parking garage and walk. Assume the front entrance being closed affected this as well. Room was comfortable, felt a little dated but very clean and wonderful bed and bedding. Super close walk to the Quarter across Canal and a short walk to the Dome so overall enjoyed our stay.

Bachlorette partyPosted Sep 13, 2015
Wonderful! We arrived very early in the day and the room was ready right away. Great location just a few blocks from all the action. Comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again. One complaint - you have to pay for Wifi

It was a very nice room and everyone was pleasant and helpful. One of the elavaters was out of order and the hotel was very crowded. The resteraunts menu was very limited and for the price we paid breakfast should of been continental. Will not stay there again.

Loud inside and outside locationPosted Sep 8, 2015
Pros: Cleaniness of the room
Cons: see above
Location: French Quarter
The hotel fassade is currently under construction which results to vibrations in the guest rooms and unbearable noise condition in the breakfast facility/restaurant. Breakfast was expensive and from the variety/quality below average means that toaster was out of service, fruit bowls empty and general variety of selection below average Party people shared guestrooms which resulted to a lot of noise in the hallways, floors, banging doors and general party noise in the rooms throughout the night. Complaints were filed but didn't show any improvements.

Close to Bourbon StreetPosted Sep 6, 2015
Pros: Elevator is close to either entrance and close to check in desk and valet. We did not have to carry our bags very far!
Cons: Cost of the parking! With tax, it was over $48.00 for 1 night. Most people cannot really afford that. I think the cost of the room should cover it.
No problems at all except the cost of the parking. Had a greats time for the concert.

Home away from home.Posted Sep 2, 2015
Pros: The location, amenities and especially the staff - outstanding.
Cons: Would like to see a return of the "flower arrangement" in the lobby.
Location: Right on Canal St., close to the French Qtr - food, music history- nothing more need be said.
I've stayed there for many years, and look forward to returning every year. This year was the 10th anniversary of Katrina (I was at the hotel then as well) and the hotel and New Orleans was packed with visitors but the hotel didn't miss a beat in terms of service and hospitality. The hotel is being renovated, as is to be expected for a property of this vintage, yet there was no disruption or inconvenience to the hotel guest.

Great HotelPosted Sep 2, 2015
the only complaint: the room was never cleaned after the first night. I brought it up on the registration desk and the gentleman was kind enough and told me that the bar bill we had previously in the evening was going to be credited. But it never was. Disappointing , not because of the charge because I was going to pay it any way. But because it was offered as a good faith gesture but never taken care of. The bell people could not have been nicer. I needed to store something in the freezer overnight and had no problem with it either placing or retreiving it.

The three out of the five nights I had to complain about noise on my floor from 1 am to 4 am in the morning. If you knew that was going to be party in suite next to my room you should I have move me or never put me on this floor. No sleep
