Pros: The staff. I wasn't expecting to be entertained that much, breakfast was carefully source from different restaurants ad bakeries and the company was
Location: It's very close to the French Quarter, but it's far from noise and traffic. There is plenty to do just by walking around Esplanade Ave
Has a wonderful stay at La Belle Esplanade, this B&B is so unique and inviting. The staff is phenomenal, will definitely visit again the next time I am in town.

Difficult to find better in New Orleans

Pros: Everything
Cons: Any suggestion for improvement would be churlish in the extreme since the weary traveler rarely encounters such an enjoyable experience as this
Location: A walk along Esplanade Avenue is in itself an experience but you will find yourself soon in the French Quarter.
Like New Orleans, La Belle Esplanade exceeded all expectation. Unique in design and approach, it is perhaps not for those who appreciate only the bland, repetitive fare of chain hotels but the layout, design and quality of the rooms coupled with the generous attention of owners Matthew and Melanie make a stay here something special. From the moment of arrival and the warmth of the welcome from the owners through a night spent in a wonderfully appointed room to the breakfast of the highest quality including a freshly prepared dish which both surprised and satisfied, this was a memorable experience. Indeed breakfast seemed to resemble a UN congress at times, testimony to the relaxed atmosphere engendered by the owners who have created a very good reason on its own for wanting to return to New Orleans

The Inn keepers were wonderful. They were very helpful suggesting places of interest that applied to the particular guest. They helped with public transportation and/or directions. Most enjoyable visit.

Pros: Non-commercial, your staying with people who live and love the city and all of its offerings. A better view of New Orleans than experienced before.
Cons: Bring earplugs if you are interested in any mid-day naps. Street noise during festival season is prominent on the street side until after 9pm or so.
Location: Eat at CoCo Hut for amazing jerk recipes and lime flavored juice.
We go to New Orleans about once a year, may times we stay in one of the usual downtown hotels near the Quarter. This time we chose this location/B&B to see something a little different and primarily to be close to Jazz Fest. The little house was great, we stayed in Suite 1: Les Fleurs and other than the increased noise/traffic from Jazz Fest activities, was quiet during the night and had a comfortable bed with a great view of the street. In general you wouldn't think of a view of street to be great, but once you stay there and understand the history of the place, the location, and the connections to the rest of the city, you realize that Esplanade is your gateway to many treasures of New Orleans and thus worthy of being featured so prominently. The walk to Jazz Fest is about 10-12 minutes from "door-to-door" and about 30-35 minutes to the French Market. Its worth walking to take in many of the historic views and homes along the way. We had to struggle a bit to get a cab to go to dinner, but then again it was during a time when most cabbies were occupied around the fairgrounds. I recommend reading the keepers blog before arriving to get an idea of the local charms you can expect to see and experience. Staff was friendly, called ahead to confirm my arrival, and were invested in the experience and our comfort. Breakfast is something that should not be missed and is an experience unto itself. You will not have this experience at any of the chain hotels. Free WiFi a plus

GREAT PLACE. I am just a tough grader and there is no option for 4.5.. so this is really 4.5/5 Breakfast was really good... attendees were two of the nicest people I've ever met... we got the suite.. we rented a car, if you don't have a car it might be hard to get around as this place is not in the heart of downtown. The only downside was a small TV...

Angenehme Nachbarschaft.
