Cable car noise can be a bit much but it's part of the charm of the city.

Good price, no comfort.

Posted Dec 3, 2016
Pros: Nice location, nice look.
Cons: Customer knowledge and support.
Location: Downtown and close to some restaurants, as there was no food or drinks at the hotel.
There was no supporting information at check in or in my room. The room was cold and I couldn't figure out how to increase the temperature. The first night's clean up didn't include updating the coffee available and the waste baskets and other stuff was moved. I got some support when I directly requested assistance and it was an "OK" stay but not comfortable or enjoyable.

Clean And Neat Hotel

Posted Dec 3, 2016
Pros: Location of the Lafayette Hotel was right on. Lots of things to do within walking distance. We also liked the ease of check in and the hotel staff
Cons: Wifi could be improved. Very slow.
Location: Close to the Warehouse District, French Quarter, Convention Center, etc. Nice location.
The Lafayette Hotel is a very nice renovated building that is very clean and is just a few blocks from Canal St. It was an easy check in with the desk personnel being very helpful. The rooms are large and everything worked as it should, except the wifi was pitifully slow. That is my only complaint. Desi Vegas restaurant on the first floor is excellent and there are dozens of other great restaurants within walking distance. We will come back and stay here again.

Room was by the streetcar. Too noisy.

It's ok, not too great. Rather stay somewhere else.

Friendly staff, great hotel

Posted Nov 21, 2016
This is the second time we have stayed at this wonderful hotel. We came back because of the great experience we had the first time. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They are genuinely kind and that goes a long way with us. We recommend this hotel to anyone that asks.

Good value Excellent location

Posted Nov 20, 2016
Pros: Location and the spacious room
Cons: Could replace the mattress
Location: Very close to major hotels, restaurants, just 10 min walk to French quarter
Though bathroom is huge, there is no tub. All other facilities are of any such good hotel. Good value for money.

Close to the Convention Center

Posted Nov 19, 2016
Pros: Proximity to the Convention Center.
Cons: Better windows to control the draft, and block out street sounds.
Location: Convention Center, French Quarter, Casino.
This is a boutique property in the Warehouse / Business district. Had to wait a few minutes to be checked in by the sole clerk / telephone operator. But she was very pleasant. The property has aged gracefully, as the staff strives to maintain it in great condition. The room was a little drafty, but I did not mind. During the daytime, the street can get somewhat noisy, but slept well at night. The mattress was awesome. Early in the morning, you might have to run the tap water some before hot water rushes out. The bonus for me was the proximity to the Ernest Morial Convention Center, which is a comfortable half-a-mile away. There are tons of really good restaurants spread out on all the streets close by. You can also walk to the French Quarter or take the streetcar.
