Great hotel in the heart of NOLA. Everything is in walking distance, French qtr, bourbon st, convention centres, harrahs is across the street, river walk and outlets are very close, etc.

Great location for activities beyond notorious Bourbon Street. Close walking to riverwalk, the trolley, WWII museum, aquarium, and of couse..Mother's across the street for delicious food too.

Nola Stay

Truly great hotel, with a great location to the French quarter, the World War II museum, the casino and everything or else is to do in New Orleans. Staff was terrific.

Nice hotel close to the river walk

This is a lovey hotel that was close to everything without being in the crush of everything. We planned this trip to NOLA to attend a wedding, which just happened to occur on the same weekend as the French Quarter Festival. The festival had several different music stages, food and alcohol galore, and drew a very large crowd. Our hotel was a street or two away from the festival started, thus entering and exiting the hotel didn't deposit you into a large group of people. Our hotel was a short walk from the river walk and shopping. Our room had a wonderful view of the Mississippi. My husband took several time lapse videos of the river and the ferry and barge activity. The hotel staff was wonderful. Traffic was very difficult and we needed to get a taxi to attend the wedding. The way the police had blocked the streets to manage the festival activities cause standstill traffic around our hotel. One of the hotel staff helped up get a taxi a couple blocks from our hotel so we wouldn't be stuck in gridlock. The room was very nice with modern decor. However, The hallways weren't kept clean. I don't believe the hallways were vacuumed our entire stay, there were several room service tray littering the halls and dirty cups on the tables next to the elevators. However, the room itself was very clean. Overall, our experience was great.

Great. The staff was helpful and courteous. Location allowed us to walk most places or take public transportation.

Nice Hotel & good location

Cons: The parking rates are very expensive, the parking (self parking) should be complementary.
The hotel is very clean, staff is very friendly and helpful for any request.

Great location, but paper thin walls inside

Strengths: Beautiful lobby, lounge and restaurant area. Perfect location (steps from Harrah's and the Riverwalk and a 2 minute walk to the French Quarters). Weaknesses: Dated hallways, paper thin walls and windows...to the point that you could hear everything, such as traffic (I was on floor 9), coughing, people walking and talking in the hallways, etc. and those things were heard clearly.

Good but watch out.

Everything was good, except for the automatic added gratuity . We ordered room service that should have been about $20, when it got to us the check was for $75+ due to 'fees' one of which was way to much gratuity!! Also for dinner in the hotel you have to go to the bar, which took way too long to get our cokes, food and the check when we finished.
