Beautiful hotel close to everything downtown

Posted Dec 10, 2016
Pros: We enjoyed the accommodations and the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Cons: Communication between early check in and when the room was ready.
Location: Superdome and French Quarter
Everyone on the staff was extremely nice. The bartender was knowledgeable, the bell staff was great, and the valet staff was helpful.

historic and beautiful hotel

Posted Dec 8, 2016
For some reason, the water in the afternoon was always not hot enough to take a shower - considering it is winter time! And you have to call room service if you simply want some tea, or coffee, or just hot water, you will have to call room service, and oftentimes, it woul f take them a while, sometimes you have to call again to remind them In general, people are nice, but they need better execution in terms of services...

A step back in time.

Posted Dec 8, 2016
Pros: The beautiful old world charm.
Cons: The staff during our stay wasn't personable. It took forever to get hot coffee downstairs and appeared they didn't care.
Staying at La Pavillon is like staying at a grand home from days long ago. The location of the hotel was perfect. It was within walking distance of the Superdome, and the French Quarter.

Disappointed

Posted Dec 6, 2016
Pros: The friendly staff, its nostalgic feel.
Cons: The general condition of the facility.
Location: The hotel is in the heart of New Orleans, but a taxi is recommended to get to the French Quarter.
The Le Pavillon was selected for its convenient location to the New Orleans business district and the cruise ship terminal. The hotel looks reasonably nice from the outside and strives to cultivate the nostalgic and genteel atmosphere of an earlier period on the inside. While the lobby, lounge, and dining room were acceptable, they were "tired" in appearance and in need of refurbishment. The restaurant is not open every night, but dining is available in the small bar/lounge area. The food was actually quite good. Guests are referred to a nearby eatery on the nights the restaurant is closed. The room, however, was quite disappointing and was in need of significant repair, particularly the bathroom. However, there was plenty of hot water. It would be unfair to say the room was unclean, but the overall condition of things tended to create that impression. The air conditioning was less than stellar. The room was quite cold upon arrival, and the controls for the air/heating system did not function well. The room never did achieve a truly comfortable temperature. On the other hand, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and it was justifiable to compensate them accordingly.

Nice hotel close to the super dome .

Posted Dec 6, 2016
Pros: The new room...very comfortable bed, big screen TV.
Cons: Waiting Sunday morning for breakfast ....had to get up from my table and get my coffee. I felt sorry for the hostess... She was doing it all !
Great place to stay while in New Orleans. Close to everything, plus peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...hot chocolate who could ask for anything more.

Mixed review

Posted Dec 5, 2016
The hotel itself was nice enough (esp for price). Historic feel, and clean. Location isn't ideal for typical french quarter blow out, but we were there for Saints game (perfect location). We also got on St. Charles trolley and went out to uptown (very close to trolley stop). The major problem came when the power apparently went out at 3am, which resulted in cycling of various systems and multiple alarms going off. When I asked about it to desk staff, she seemed pretty unconcerned our stay was disrupted and almost perturbed I was even raising a negative to her. Probably won't stay again given the number of other options.

Thank you for your honest feedback and sorry about the issue with the power on Saturday evening. The alarms going off are part of the system in the event of an emergency. Please accept my sincere apology for any issue this may have caused you. Thanks for staying with us.

Great hotel in New Orleans

Posted Dec 5, 2016
Pros: The beds were probably the best I've ever slept in, they were absolutely terrific! Pillows were equally great.
Cons: A shuttle service to/from airport would be extremely helpful, even it were not free, as the 40 buck a day parking fee is quite expensive.
Location: This hotel is within walking and trolley distance to pretty much everything in downtown New Orleans.
We spent 4 days in New Orleans visiting the WWII Museum. This hotel is very convenient to almost everything worth seeing in New Orleans. We rented a car and discovered it was not needed as the trolley's are great transportation, besides, it's 40 bucks a day to park your car in the hotel parking facility!

Good full service hotel

Posted Dec 2, 2016
Pros: Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Bartender made a great martini!
Cons: Elevators were very slow during my stay. I ended up taking the stairs most of the time.
Location: Plenty of restaurants and services within easy walking distances. Location convenient to both the quarter and convention areas.
Stayed there recently attending a convention. Hotel staff was very friendly, room was well appointed and comfortable.
