Nice quiet hotel

Posted Oct 6, 2017
Pros: Location
Location: We only had a couple of days, so we focused on the French District. We'll definitely have to return to visit the WW2 Museum.
Nice quiet hotel in the Garden District but close to French District. Good breakfast every morning. Lovely restaurants nearby. Outdoor areas were very pleasant.

The beds were horrible

Posted Oct 5, 2017
Both beds were broken they collapsed in the middle so you would feel like u were sleeping on a steep hill on either side of the bed.

Quiet, clean stay for a reasonable price.

Posted Oct 3, 2017
Nice trip. Staff was all very helpful other than one person with an attitude. Decent food within Walking distance. Trolley stop is right there. Carpet and safe were a little beat up....but they changed out safe and thermostat while we were there so it might have just been the very, very end of their lifespan. I would recommend to others and/or go back without hesitation. Will probably cost you $50-70 per night extra to do better.

Nice hotel in great location

Posted Oct 3, 2017
Pros: It's proximity to everything.
Cons: Definitely housekeeping and maintenance.
Nice hotel, great ambiance, great location to get to all parts of New Orleans. It just needs a bit more TLC and some strong management. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful, the parking valets were awesome. The maintenance and housekeeping staff were some of the laziest I have ever seen. The reason we had to talk to the front desk a lot was because housekeeping hardly did anything while we were there. The beds were made most of the time, but we had to request towels 3 out of the 5 days and get wash cloths the other days; they didn't replace any of the coffee supplies, and we literally ran out of toilet paper! I saw them use a broom on the carpets of rooms, but never a vacuum. Our bathroom floor was dirty and had drywall pieces, which we had to request be cleaned up. The outside was never swept, so there was always cigarette butts, etc. laying around. We had a housekeeping person literally tell us that if we were still in our room when she finished the other 3 on our floor, that our room wouldn't get cleaned that day. Not that we would have noticed the difference... The elevators and ice machines were out of order in our section the whole time also.

Good value

Posted Oct 1, 2017
Good location with streetcars at the front door. Comfortable. Breakfast is ok. The pool was clean. There are laundry facilities on site. Valet parking for an extra fee. AC was noisy and no adjustments other than temperature control. All up good value.

Great Location

Posted Sep 29, 2017
Pros: New Orleand feel courtyards etc and the location near good restaurants
Cons: Maid Service
Location: On the streetcar line in Garden District, Mr. Eds seafood house, St. Charles Tavern great Houstons ($$$) Down the street has live Jazz 7 days a week
The hotel was in a very good location, many good restaurants close, street car across the road, cab stand next door in front of Mr. Ed's seafood restaurant (would recommend their food) St. Charles Tavern up the street also had good food reasonable. The Breakfast was good the pool and hot tub were nice, and the courtyards were very quaint and beautiful Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. One bad thing is maid service. Maids are incompetent if it was my hotel id fire them hire better. I had to go get toilet paper 3 times in the week they left us none, took away our wash cloths and bathmat and didn't replace I went to front desk and got more, Took all the cups in room didn't replace, didnt replace coffee cream/sugar packs etc etc that was the only bad point air conditioning worked great would stay again..

Clean, Private, Safe, Great Breakfast

Posted Sep 29, 2017
Never being in New Orleans, I didn't know what to expect. This hotel gave the feeling of being secluded . Once you entered from the street, you found that you were in a quiet, place with plants, art, and just a restful, safe feeling. The personnel were friendly. The breakfast was tasty with eggs, bacon, pastry waffles, biscuits, bagels, juice, milk, and coffee

close to streetcar

Posted Sep 28, 2017
Pros: Everything!!!
Cons: Housekeeping services.
Location: Close to downtown with easy access to the streetcar.
The hotel was in a nice neighborhood with easy access to the streetcar. The breakfast was great. Something for everyone. Our only complaint was not enough towels, washcloths, etc were left by housekeeping. We would go to the front desk and receive more without a problem.
