Friendly staff & Good value in Garden District

Posted Jul 17, 2017
This hotel is a great value for the location off St. Charles in the Garden District. It is a very safe location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located close to downtown and everything is easily accessible via the streetcars. The valet parking is super efficient and convenient.

Good location

Posted Jul 6, 2017
Pros: location
Location: WWII Museum nearby, trolley stop out front
The location is good for catching the trolley, lots of restaurants around (try Blind Pelican for great oysters). The staff is above and beyond friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is typical New Orleans, feels a little damp and some wear, but if you are there to see the sites and not stay in your room, it's a good choice for the money and convenience. I recommend.

Dump! This hotel sucks! Won't stay there ever!

Posted Jul 5, 2017
Pros: Quaint Old Buidling; but they way they treated me negated whatever charm it had
Cons: They need to focus on customer service. Not argue with their customers; bend over backward to accommodate the needs of the customer. Not lie!
Location: The location is ok; close to the Trolley Line. However, far from Downtown New Orleans
Terrible customer service. The Cable TV did not work; they did not make any effort to accommodate my needs. They lied that the Cable TV was down because of the weather, and it was not due to the weather. A guest that had checked in before the weather struck, clearly stated that there was no Cable TV when they checked in a couple days earlier; and they still had not fixed it. So, they knew that there was some technical issues with the Cable TV and were still checking people into that building where the TV did not work. My experience with the customer service at this hotel was horrible. I will never, ever recommend this hotel to anyone I know; not even to my worst enemy. They did not want to refund me my money when I decided to leave and stay in a different hotel where I will get what I paid for. It was the Expedia Customer Service Rep that was very helpful in refunding my money back. I will advice Expedia to not do business with this hotel going forward. They will ruin Expedia's reputation. Bad hotel!

things not working

Posted Jul 5, 2017
The AC did not work very well, and after they cleaned the unit water was running under the carpet. The telephone in the room did not work and after we told them nobody fixed it.

Even with thin towels, soap slivers and a phone without a cord we totally enjoyed our stay. Super staff, good breakfast, lovely courtyard, trolley right outside were pluses. Restaurant next door was awesome.

Convenient to the St. Charles streetcar

Posted Jun 24, 2017
Pros: Location.
Cons: Housekeeping. Need to do better and making sure room is stocked with towels.
Location: Great location. Walking distance to WWII Museum. Very easy to get to French Quarter and rest of Garden District.
Hotel was charming in some ways. It was a little tired looking. Gym was not available. I was told it was being renovated. The pool was also closed much of the time I was there. The room was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping did not provide towels each day.

Good value, comfortable stay

Posted Jun 9, 2017
Pros: I had a good nights sleep and the breakfast offers a good selection.
Cons: Housekeeping could have been better, they did not replenish the coffee and also forgot to replace the used towels they removed with clean ones.
Location: Some really nice restaurants along Charles - I ate at Emeril's Delmonico and Houston's and enjoyed delicious high quality meals at both.
First impression of the room was comfortable and spacious. Cleaning and decor was not immaculate but there was nothing unacceptable. The bed was huge, clean and very comfy. Bathroom was nice with a huge walk in shower.
