Grreat stay and resonable price

Posted Sep 25, 2017
Pros: Location, space, access to tram,
Cons: The tap water is terrible, it would be good to have access to drinking water in the evenings, say at reception. Also less plastic waste at breakfast.
Location: It's central to everything. Walking distance to most things if you don't mind strolling.
Great location,on tram route between French and Garden Districts. Big comfortable rooms. Helpful staff. Highly recommend this hotel.

House keeping is horrible

Posted Sep 20, 2017
Room did not get cleaned at all the first night. Had to request toilet tissue and towels. Front desk would hang up the phone in you. When the room finally got cleaned the next day. Trash was left behind and the counter didn't get wiped down nor was the bathroom touched. Floor wasn't vacuumed and she had attitude about cleaning our neighbors room bc I'm assuming it was trashed but house keeping is your job smh

Nice staff.

Posted Sep 18, 2017
Pros: Location.
Cons: Shower had mildew on the grout.
Location: Location is good. Several restaurants close by.
Location was a plus on my trip. The staff was very nice and friendly. The bottom floor room was too light for sleeping, however, as there was a window above the door that did not have a curtain or shade. The room on the second floor across could see into the room if you stood at the sink. Not private at all.

Not a great experience

Posted Sep 18, 2017
Pros: Physical appearance of hotel and rooms.
Cons: A hotel this substantial should have someone servicing it at all hours for emergencies, such as missing lightbulbs or broken hair dryers.
Hotel itself was cute, with courtyards and patios, and the room was nice, with nice clean bedding, a newish look, and an updated bathroom. However, there were a number of issues that surprised us. 1) Our room was on the 3rd floor, but the elevator had an "out of order" sign. This was not mentioned at the front desk, although they had carefully marked the location of the room on a map. 2) When we arrived Friday night, we realized there was no light in the toilet/shower area of the bathroom. It appeared that the overhead bulb was missing but we were too tired to call. 3) Saturday morning, as we were getting ready for our meeting, the hair dryer did not work. I called the front desk and they said they could not help me whatsoever since housekeeping would not arrive until 8 am (it was about 7 am). They offered no solution and this was a problem, since we had our meeting at 8 and had scheduled head shots for our venture on that day. At this time I mentioned the missing bathroom lightbulb and was again told that they could not help me till later. 4) Breakfast was decent--there were eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal, bagels, etc., although the quality was not great. The attendant yelled at my colleague to use a napkin to cover her food in the microwave--were we intruding in someone's kitchen? They had coffee but NO drinking water: same attendant suggested we get water at a vending machine in the hotel. :-S When we came back Saturday evening, lightbulb in bathroom was still missing.

Staff was great

Floor of room could've been vacuumed better. I always worry about a room that sprays to much air freshener.

Labor day weekend best prices

Posted Sep 5, 2017
Pros: The staff
Cons: Work on maintenance issues.
The hotel staff def made the stay worth. They were more then welcoming and accommodating. It was my first time NOLA and they made a great impression. Hotel is in a pretty good location it was like $6 uber ride to canal st, and the street cars have a stop right outside of the hotel. The room was definetly dated, and could use a lot of upgrades. They obviously know this, but I was cool with it.

Room was old and worn down, filthy as well. Will never stay here again. Dirty room all around, door to room was cracked. Carpet very nasty, bathroom half cleaned. Still looks like Hurricane Katrina aftermath.....................
