Not as advertised

Problems with check-in. Made reservations a week in advance got there and they had no rooms!! Said they dont hold room for online reservations till the person actually "gets there"!!?? So ended up with a room that" was in need of repairs.. ""But was useable"..

Checked in at 4:30 am! Pictures on Expedia made it look better than it was! Night staff was pleasant! Was told check was @ 11am! At 11am on dot, desk clerk came banging on door that it was check out! I informed her that I was preparing to leave but needed a few minutes! She returned at 11:10 and opened door with out my telling her to enter! She returned again at 11:30 and did same thing at 11:30! Due to trying to use toilet, which I had to run water in Shower and catch it in trash can, could t get out room til 11:45am! While leaving thru front entrance she told me I now owed an late fee! WILL NEVER USE AGAIN!!!!!!

Pros: Nada
Cons: Que lo eliminen de sus ofertas.
Location: No se puede caminar por los alrededores, mucho menos por las noches. Para entrar y salir en vehículo. Prostitución y embriagues todo el día.
La habitación tenía la persiana a la calle totalmente rota, sin servibar, sin horno de microondas, la cafetera sin jarra, la tina del baño sucia. Cuando fuí a pedir el cambio el gerente de turno se portó grosero por lo menos, sacó una cafetera y la asotó en el mostrador; terminaba su turno y sin más se fue. La recepcionista que se quedó me hizo el cambio de habitación a regañadientes. Hay un letrero que dice que el hotel está en remodelación pero no se ve obra alguna. Alfombras y paredes sucias.

This hotel is horrible, the receptionist that checked us in had major attitude and rude. The elevator stinks and the lobby restrooms were out of order and filthy. When we went up to our room the hallway was hot and reeks of urine and other foul odors. Our room was a heat sauna and the AC unit was blowing out hot air....I had to call Expedia to negotiate a deal to move us to a different facility as this one was terrible. The pool was disgusting as there were trash and other unknown materials floating around in it. Expedia was unable to negotiate our deal. When we complain to receptionist about our ordeal they told us that the AC will kick in soon. So we left to go site seeing when we return 4 hrs later the room was hotter then before we left. Receptionist was able to relocate us to another room that had a window AC unit on top of the central unit still we couldn't stay I'm the rooms ad the heat, smell and dirty bedding materials was so disgusting. We checked our after 6hrs of checking in. The receptions a different one from the check in receptionist was rude and screamed at me when I relate to her why we were checking out in just 6 hrs of checking in.

Descent Hotel for the Price

Midtown Hotel is a fairly descent place to stay for the price and location. The young lady that checked us in was very nice always had a smile every day we saw her. Mrs Lisa in housekeeping was very helpful and pleasant. That's what keeps me coming back. This last visit was my second stay at this hotel. I do plan to come again especially because the staff is always pleasant. Not one bad experience this year unlike last year.

Nice hotel to sleep and get a shower

Pros: Air conditioner worked perfectly for the very hot days we were there. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The shower curtains need to be replaced. The whole room needs urgently to be cleaned.
Location: Wonderful location. Take bus 39 to go to the French Quarter. Bus 32 to the Zoo. Buy one day pass just $3. It's easy to explore NOLA. Love it!
We arrived at 11:30 p.m. a time when the surroundings looked unsafe so I was disappointed. But the man at the front desk was nice and friendly and made us feel welcomed. The staff was polite always greeting with a smile. I am glad I booked our vacation at this hotel. I recommend it if you are on a budget and just need a plece to sleep and shower. I will choose Midtown Hotel whenever we go back to New Orleans.

Pros: location and easy check in
Cons: its needs updating
Location: fast food joint on the corner and just a hop on i10 for a quick drive to the superdome or smoothie king center.
I was pleased with my stay. Obviously I knew it wasn't going to be anything like the Hilton but at 50 bucks I will not complain.
