Robert and Lorraine were wonderful hosts. They saw to every need. Breakfast was fantastic and the view and security was just great. This is a place that anyone would love to stay and enjoy their New Orleans getaway!!!
We drove the rental car from the MSY International Airport, using our GPS....which was very important. When we arrived at our location.....there was a mysterious and exciting element to entering our secret code and finding entry to the parking courtyard and the wonderful Jazz Quarters facility. Each room has its own character and we stayed in the White Room. Just meeting our host Sweet Loraine was a joy. Loraine is truly a lady of the south and she made us feel right at home immediately. The Jazz Quarters are right on the edge of the French Quarter and just across Rampart which in still under some construction for additional rail lines. We walked every morning to the Cafe Du Monde. It was a stiff walk from the Jazz Quarters at 6AM but worth seeing the City...as it really is. Our three nights were comfortable and we even had a
refrigerator in the room. The Jazz Quarters is not a cookie cutter hotel experience and if you want that....try other accomodations. If you want to feel local.....try the Jazz Quarters!
Our room was one of the smaller ones but very clean and tidy. The location was fantastic for walking around French Quarter although Bourbon Street is a bit loud and over the top, so we spent more time eating and drinking in surrounding streets. The innkeepers were so nice and helpful but my wife is not a big eater at breakfast and would have been happier with toast and coffee rather than the filling breakfasts that were made for us. However, the food was very tasty and I enjoyed it very much. I would definitely recommend staying here.
