Staff and service were excellent but hotel isn't.

Posted Jun 23, 2017
Pros: Staff
Cons: The facility.
Location: Location is good if you want to do things in the French Quarter.
The Prince Conti looks as if it used to be a very nice place, but it is VERY, VERY tired these days. The staff and service are great, but the facilities themselves desperately need renovation. For the price of this room, it was a real disappointment.

Good hotel for the price.

Posted Jun 6, 2017
Pros: The staff was nice.
Cons: The wall paper has seen better days. It would be good to change. Plus the ventilation in the room was not good. Our room was a bit stuffy.
Location: The location was perfect. Close to Bourbon Street and all the bars/restaurants but far enough from the night time noise.
Staff was friendly and the room was relatively clean. However, there was a broken lock on the bathroom door and our room was a bit musty. The price was reasonably lower than most places so it was good for the price. The location was perfect. Close to Bourbon street but not close enough to hear all the noise.

Charming Hotel

Posted Jun 5, 2017
This is an older hotel. Clean but, needs upgrading. Carpets are shabby and stained. Bathroom is small and has no fan or shelves for personal care items. Staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel is conveniently located to shops and restaurants.

Nice hotel in French Quarter

Posted Jun 3, 2017
Pros: Location was ideal for all the things we wanted to do. Staff were always available and willing to make recommendations.
Cons: We didn't have a view...just the rooftop and more hotel rooms. However, the noise level from the streets might be an issue if were streetside.
Location: Without driving, we were able to get to fantastic restaurants, tours, and the streetcars (daily pass=great value). Had hotel pickup for swamp tour.
We were close to everything at this location. Staff were very friendly and helpful, including booking excursions for us. We also got some great restaurant recommendations from them. Once we arrived, we used valet parking and walked or took public transportation...it is a bit stressful to drive around in the French Quarter, and parking is limited. The cafe attached to the hotel was very good. The French Quarter at night is not a good place for young children, even when Mardi Gras is not in full swing!

Wonderful hotel in the French Quarter

I loved staying here. Valet parking on site made me feel safe leaving my vehicle. The room was spacious and clean with a high ceiling. It had a large walk-in bathroom. The bar and restaurant at the hotel had great food with a historic feel. Only a quick walk to Rue Bourbon. Will stay again.

Disappointed from what I expected

Posted May 24, 2017
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room comfort is 5/5 as the AC worked great and there was a sofa bed which is a great thing. Liked the pillows and bed. Cleanliness is 3/5 as there's dust clumps on the bed posts and found a small bug in his bed cover. Someone smushed and threw it away before I took a pic. Hotel condition is 2/5 as the bathroom door didn't close completely unless you pulled the door up (the hinge is broken). Early morning there was no hot water one night. Shower/ bath tub was very slow draining so I'll be taking a shower and the water will be too my ankles. Would I recommend? Not really but for a decent price this close to bourbon, it isn't terrible. Good even. I was just disappointed. Eating here is ridiculous though as there's not many tables. Rating is hard but I gave details on why felt this way.

Very nice hotel

Posted May 16, 2017
Had an amazing time in NOLA! My sister and I were in town for a concert. The only time we had to use a car was to go to the concert and we used an Uber! Everything else was walking distance! We walked to Cafe de Monde, the Cathedral, and we even found the shopping stores H&M and Urban Outfitters! Bourbon Street was also only a block away if you wanted to check it out, without it bringing any noise to the customers in the hotel. Also if you come in past 10 PM you will have to use your room card to enter the hotel, which made us feel very safe. The hotel had amazing staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and because I was a Expedia member I received a gift of $10 off a souvenir tour, although I didn't I use it (would've rather had a free drink at the hotel bar or something, but it was still a nice gesture). We also ate breakfast the morning that we checked out at the Conti Cafe inside the hotel which was delicious and not that expensive. Also you have to park valet and the parking fee is about $37 a day, but hey, it's New Orleans, and you're gonna have to pay for parking regardless. Overall, I really enjoyed staying here, and I would definitely recommend it.
