Refrigerator wide open on arrival and we needed it for medication but obviously could not use it. The front desk clerk in the morning was rude and would not even respond to questions. I have no idea what we were charged because "I can't give you a total at this time." Will not be staying again.

I am so sorry that your stay was not perfect. That is definitely not up to our standards. I wish I knew when you had stayed so that I could pin-point where/who has the issue, especially with communication with our guests. I have already discussed with housekeeping the refrigerator issue. Clean & well-maintained with friendly staff

Check in was super quick and the gentleman checking us in was very polite, knowledgeable, and professional. We stayed in room 246 and found it to be well maintained with clean carpets - actually clean everything. It was like a new room. The AC was great. Breakfast was served starting at 5 AM. Which is great because some hotels don't have breakfast until later on the weekends. We went to at 5:30 AM and enjoyed it. The orange juice was delicious. Again, the lady serving the breakfast was very friendly and upbeat, even at this early hour. It was great. According to the reception, and as evidenced by the parking lot, the hotel was booked to 90% capacity due to recent flooding in nearby areas. Thankfully the hotel is constructed well as we didn't hear any one from the other rooms and were able to enjoy a quiet night.

Louisiana stay

It was not handicap accessible. Room was surfaced clean but rug needs replacement. Price paid was too expensive for quality of hotel. Checking in was not a personal experience. Beds were comfortable. Room didn't have no. On door which was ok for me. But had to double check to make sure we had correct room. Stairs were problem for me due to physical limitations. Experience is 1-1/2 stars. Sorry!

I am so sorry for not being able to make you comfortable on your stay here. Your arrival was during a disaster caused by the massive flooding. As we were not told that you needed a handicap room, all five of our downstairs handicap rooms had been allotted to other guests that arrived before you. Upon arriving it appeared the grass had not been cut in about 2 weeks, was cut within first day. Parking lot side room was noisy due to a family with several small children playing outside all day and family appeared to be living there based on patio furniture by the door.Moved to poolside room on the last night,quieter,cleaner and little nicer. Free breakfast was mediocre at best. Juice machine was broken. With tax, room was right at $100 per night and I expect things to be better maintained for what I was charged. The staff was courteous and helpful.

The grass does grow fast in Southern Louisiana. We cut it every week, but during the rainy season it grows faster than our mowers. I am so sorry that you were disturbed by the family that was placed here by their insurance company when their house burned. It was very difficult for them to be misplaced by a tragedy, so we were glad to help out as best we could. I am sorry that you got caught in the transition between the continental breakfast and the opening of our full service restaurant serving free fresh cooked breakfast. We also have lunch and dinner now available, along with our lounge. I hope that you will stay with us again, so that we can show you true southern hospitality.
