In the middle of the action!

Posted Dec 7, 2016
Pros: This hotel is centrally located on Bourbon Street. The nightly entertainment in the lounge is quite good.
Location: Right on Bourbon Street, short walk to Jackson Square, just over a mile to Superdome. Don't need a car- can take trolley for most things not close by.
The hotel was quite nice in an otherwise seedy area (but that's what Bourbon Street is!). The photo showed a balcony, but the front desk staff said the balcony rooms cannot be reserved through Expedia so be aware you likely will not get one. Room was small but well equipped with plenty of plugs, good lighting and in-room coffee & frig.

My FAVORITE place to stay in NOLA

Posted Dec 6, 2016
Being an Expedia VIP made for an even better experience. The receptionist, April, was sweet and efficient. She made sure that I got my Expedia up grade and welcome gift. All of the rooms I have stayed in there have been very nice, and comfortable. The staff, from the bellman at the front to the concierge and front desk are all very professional and helpful. The hotel is currently decked-out for the holidays. It looks beautiful! Thank you Expedia and Royal Sonesta for another fabulous stay in New Orleans!

Room service closed early!!!

Posted Dec 1, 2016
Pros: It's quiet but right in the middle of the action. It's very nice. The beds are insanely comfortable.
Cons: The staff needs to be more attentive. If room service is open until 10, it should be open until 10, not close at 940.
Location: lots and lots
Room service closed 15 minutes early, which was annoying. I called the front desk twice to ask a question and it wasn't answered either time. Disappointment experience at a really nice hotel.

Greetings, It was a delight to have you join us for your recent visit to New Orleans and we are delighted to find that our beds were the perfect treat after a full day and evening of exploring the Crescent City. We appreciate you sharing your feedback regarding the room service, which should certainly not have closed early. While we do not have details regarding the dates of your stay which would allow us to research the situation further, we apologize if an unique situation presented itself and required an early close. Once more, it was a pleasure to welcome you and we hope you will allow us another opportunity to impress you when you next visit the French Quarter. Warm Regards, Royal Sonesta New Orleans

ON Bourbon!!

Posted Nov 27, 2016
Used Expedia points and upgraded to a second floor balcony room on Bourbon. A must do, at least once, as the people watching was crazy! If you're a light sleeper, I'm told an interior room is what you want. Staff and check in was a breeze.

Great location.

Posted Nov 27, 2016
Pros: I enjoyed the décor, the location and the staff.
Cons: The shower head did not allow the water to come down with sufficient pressure.
Location: There were many restaurants, shops and transportation choices.
It was in a great location. I only wish I had been given a room with access to the atrium and balcony like my friend was. I couldn't even open the window. The room itself was quite nice. My only complaint is the shower water pressure should have been stronger.
