Excellent stay.

This hotel used to be called The Ambassador, the have renovated it completely and it's a winner. 3-4 blocks from the French Quarter, perfectly walkable distance... and still away from the noise, drunks, parties, etc... made it the perfect location.

Wish we stayed more than 1 night

Posted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: We LOVED everything about this hotel
Cons: Would have been nice to have an extra towel rack in the bathroom. The only one was behind the toilet for the hand towels.
Location: Attached restaurant has amazing food. About 1 mile walk to the French Quarter, 5-10 min walk to mall and Mississippi river/ cruise port
We loved this hotel It has rustic charm with a modern touch. Upon arrival, the valet greeted us right away and asked if we needed help with our bags He grabbed a cart and helped us unload our car and held the door open for us to enter the hotel As we walked in we were greeted by the hostess for the attached restaurant who directed us strait ahead to the front desk We did not have to wait in line to check in which was very nice The front desk greeted us with warm friendly smiles We had booked a regular queen room and they were kind enough to upgrade us to a deluxe queen at no extra charge Upon entering our room we were stunned, the pictures online do not do it justice The furniture fit perfectly with the exposed brick of the room The outlets next to the bed had USB ports for fast charging of electronics THE BED WAS AMAZING!! It was so comfortable When we sat on it we didn't want to get back up and even talked about canceling our evening agenda to just relax and watch TV The bathroom was beautiful, very clean and updated Our room had its own digital thermostat, to set to our personal comfort After returning from our walk to the French Quarter (about a mile each way) We decided to have a late night snack at the attached restaurant. The food/drinks were delicious and staff was very friendly. Upon checkout we were given the same treatment was had at arrival, and our car was brought to us in a timely manner. I highly recommend staying here, and if your smart book more than 1 night

Good central location

This hotel is great with the friendliest staff. The only issue is that the building was built in 1854 so the insulation lacks a little and one night we had a loud group next door.

White Linen Night Stay

Posted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: Boutique hotel very nicely decorated and furnished, amazing restaurant downstairs!!!
Cons: cleaning room floors and shower
Location: Perfect location for art galleries located on Julia St
We stayed here for White Linen Night Aug 1, Great Location for this event. Room Floor and Shower were the only things that could have used a little more cleaning. Everything else was great. Room was very comfortable. New Renovations of the Lobby and adjacent new restaurant are absolutely beautiful, fresh and hip. The restaurant is amazing, chef is from St Lucia and brings out unique flavors to everything from appetizers to dessert. We stayed in the Lafayette Wing. Hallway was a bit dark and dingy but no big deal. We would stay there again. The only problem was that Barcadia, a hot new bar, is located across the street from the Lafayette Wing and had a street party with VERY loud music until 1:15 am. it was for White Linen Night and I guess would only be a problem for local events like this in the area. Not a problem if you are out late but we were not.

Love the decor of room. Great location. Close to French quarter and outlet shopping and great restaurants. Park across street for the day until 6 pm for 12 dollars and then free parking after 6 or just pay the 30 dollars for 24 hours. Only thing is it is an older building so you can hear things in hallway and people slamming doors and so on so walls are thin so keep that in mind.

Super location

Pros: The character of the old warehouses
Cons: Offering a continental breakfast
Location: Casino, restaurants, bars, convention center, French quarter all close by.
This hotel is in the heart of New Orleans and is walking distance from the quarter, convention center, casinos, and restaurants. The staff was courteous. Rooms were clean and had the character of the old warehouses they used to be. Will stay here again.

Very nice complement to the city.

Pros: The modern feel out of an old building
Cons: Great job on it all. Keep it going
Location: Great ad on to the city.
Close walking to all the downtown attractions. Nice place to enjoy meal or drinks before heading out to see all the things that the city has to offer. Staff goes out of their way to make everything the way you want it.

Good location and thats about it.

Good location in the Wharehouse district of New Orleans. Hotel staff were pretty incompetent and rude at times. Room was big and clean, but nothing like the advertised pictures. One tiny window in the corner of the room and thin walls made for an awful stay. Too many great hotels in New Orleans to waste a night at this hotel again.

Everything great except the unexpected and unexplained $50 charge to my card after I checked out

It was probably just an authorization hold, but if the charge is still there, please contact us and we will get it fixed right away.
