Comfy beds

Posted Jan 21, 2017
Pros: The rooms are really clean and they will give you a credit for going green while there .
Cons: Maybe not so cold in the hallways, I mean that's a stretch the hotel and staff was great.
Location: There are 2 reasonable priced amazingly delicious I found close by, Mothers on the corner and Daisy Dukes up the street about a 5 min walk
After a long day/night of exploring New Orleans relaxing on their nice comfy beds is amazing . They staff is very friendly and help full. There is a great tasting restaurant on the corner from the hotel called Mothers it's a must try place. Easy locations to walk the French Quaters, Mississippi River, or Garden district . All in all had a great experience .

Experience NOLA for Christmas

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Pros: The hotel's décor and professional staff.
Location: French Quarter and Harrah's casino, all within walking distance.
Mother and daughter trip, this was our 2nd time staying at The Old No. 77, and it was still as pleasing as the first visit. This time in the hotel lobby there was a art show and several candles/collectible items for sell. Our trip was to experience NOLA during the Christmas holiday season. The hotel is in close proximity to French Quarter, casino, and several restaurant's. The holiday decoration in New Orleans was beautiful and so were the decorated homes in the Garden District. Hotel Room - this time we stayed in a interior room (no window), room was spacious and clean. The only drawback one would expect is no natural light. Our initial room had a long narrow window, but was on the first floor in the back of the hotel (no view) and had a wet smell. Had no issues with front desk on room change, and ensuring I had a room with a traditional tub/showerhead (No rainfall shower). We were greeted each time as walked in and out of the hotel by staff.

Excellent

We stayed for a one night getaway. The Front desk was very helpful after we paid for a room with a window and had a brick wall 3 feet from it. They even upgraded us to a king. The bar staff was extremely friendly. I will definitely be back. I loved all the exposed brick even in the rooms.

A couple of blocks off a busy area, so, easy to get in and out of. Wonderfully retro, great staff, cozy. Super food and super chill.

We got an upgrade on Christmas Eve and although reservations were full in the restaurant for dinner we ate their for breakfast the next day and it was amazing. Loved the decor and art. Would go back for sure! Very comfortable bed and pillows also.

Beautiful and cool, but LOUD

Posted Dec 21, 2016
Pros: Ambience, decoration, location
Cons: muffling the sound and bass vibrations from Barcadia next door.
Location: Revelator Coffee, which is about a block down the street is a great place for morning joe.
We chose the hotel because it is well located and just looks cool. And in that sense, the place met expectations. What we didn't count on was the fact that the hotel is situated right next to a lively nightclub called Barcadia that places tremendously loud music well into the night. That persistent noise and the vibrations from the bass of the music playing made it extremely difficult to get any sleep at night. Essentially, if you're expecting to get a king suite, know that you'll be in the Lafayette portion of the hotel, which means you're going to have to deal with this noise. The hotel staff were polite and sympathetic, but all they could offer us was a choice between downgrading to a room with a smaller bed size or providing us with ear plugs. We chose the latter, but like I said even if you muffle the sound you're still going to feel the acoustic vibrations from the bass of the music that's playing. Bottom line: the place was gorgeous, it was close to everything, and the staff were nice, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who actually intends to get some rest at the hotel.

Thank you for the feedback, we are very sorry that our neighbors kept you awake and so sorry that ruined your stay with us. We are working with them to try to come up with something that will benefit both of us.
