Enormous hotel, yet very quaint with excellent amenities: spa, gym, bar, restaurant were top notch. Close to the action in New Orleans.

Hotel is ok,does not justify the cost.Hotel Saint which is on its right side is much more cost effective ,new,modern design and would have picked it instead of the Ritz. Ritz has also hidden costs for families with kids .Expedia does not give you the charges ..roll away bed costs $50 per night and this cost is not indicated while you make the booking.Hotel smells old I would not recommend to young couples and families with small kids.Rooms are comfortable,location is great.

Pros: It was beautifully decorated....
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Centrally located and within walking distance to a lot.
Had a wonderful time. New Orleans is beautiful at Christmas time. Everything looks so lovely. Loved the people and the vibe. It's one big party all the time. Will go back again.....

Great location, but could use some maintenance. There are a lot of flaws in the walls and trim plus at least on three occasions some of the street performers would come in with out key cards because the doors were not working properly. No coffee machine in room until second day...we had to engage the front desk on our third day because after being out all day our room still work made past 4 PM .Overall we had a good stay, but it could have been better.

Holiday decorations were elegant and the lobby smelled like fresh pines. Staff were very helpful. Close to the theatre. Loved every minute of our stay.

Most everything was wonderful with a nice special touches we're thankful for the special treatment on our anniversary the only disappointment was the general public hot tub that was a little disappointing but overall an excellent experience

Absolutely horrible water pressure from the shower on the first day. For a family of 4 it took ages for all of us to get through and get the soap out of our hair. The staff sent up engineering to work on it and made the offer to change our room. It was tolerable after they worked on it, so we didn't have to change, but still not great. No deduction from the bill. I've stayed at lesser chains that immediately deduct from the bill with sincere apologies since washing is clearly half of what you're paying for in a hotel room. The staff wasn't very sympathetic. Few kind greetings in the hallway as well. For $50 per day in valet service, I would expect the phone to be answered when we needed our car. It was not. Each time we had to go down, request the car, and wait. If I can walk to my own car 3 times over in the time it takes to get my car, then what exactly is the service for? Further, if you have a guest that is departing and returning later that evening, I would think the valet might mention to the guest that there is a major event going on that evening, and returning to the hotel may prove difficult! We didn't know all roads would be barricaded off by police, and we should ask the police to let us through! When I mentioned this at checkout, again, the staff could have cared less. No fans in bathroom. No coffee pots in rooms. I hate having to get dressed to get my coffee, or pay a ridiculous amount in room service for beans and water. Xmas decor was pretty.

Beautiful hotel. Comfortable and spacious suite. Great location two blocks away from Bourbon Street.
