I understand New Orleans is an old city, and I knew from the pictures this was going to be an old hotel. That was ok. But some of the stuff could have been taken care of better. The mini fridge in the room didn't seem to have been cleaned in sometime. The carpet was nasty with stains. Upon leaving, I stripped the bedding (to help out the housekeeper), the mattress pad on the bed was just nasty. It was a blood stain from sex or possibly a period. Yellow stains that appear to have been urine. I was disgusted. The property is right in the middle if a neighborhood, so there isn't much you can just walk to, if you don't have a car. The neighborhood was decent, I walked around a few time. It is in walking distance to the Superdome, and Bourbon Street just have good walking shoes. It's about a mile, maybe a mile and a half for both. Will I stay here again? Probably not. The 2 staff members I encountered and interacted with while there were very friendly.
