Our bathroom was dirty/dead mashed mosquito in shower and dried dark hair on ceiling above bathroom sink. Very loud in halls at night/“party time”. Asked to be moved. Extremely long wait at valet park trying to leave.

great location for the French Quarter Festival. Side entry and check in on the 11th floor is a tad quirky. The bar is gorgeous, great views of the river and the French Quarter! rooms are fine, large with COMFY beds. bathrooms old, but attempts at updates w/sinks and rain shower. I do appreciate the environmental interest, with toiletries. The bellman are all terrific. the hostess at the breakfast spot on the 11th seems uninformed - this stay was perfect for what we wanted to do. I felt very safe!!!

The good: central location, most of the staff were nice and helpful, bed was comfortable. The bad: do not stay here if you are a light sleeper. Seriously. Between the trolley and train right outside the hotel sounding their whistles at all hours of the night and traffic noise, I barely got any sleep the entire week we were there. We were on the 26th floor and we may as well have been on the ground level for how noisy it was some nights. We switched rooms after the first night to the "quiet side" but we didn't notice any difference. We had a couple poor experiences with the front desk and lounge, and while both times senior staff stepped in and made things right but it still caused frustration when we should have been enjoying our vacation. The hotel lobby is quite nice, but the rooms are in need of a makeover and a good clean. It definitely did not reflect the 4.5 stars marketed on this site. Finally, this is a Viking cruise destination and some of the days we were there were insanely busy, so much so that it was impossible to ever get a table in the lounge or get onto an elevator. One day we were forced to walk down 15 flights so we didn't miss our tour. Overall, the frustrations outweighed the benefits of this place and I would not stay here again.

The beds were incredibly comfortable! After numerous spine surgeries, I’m extremely picky about mattresses. While I bring my own pillow, I sadly can’t pack my Saatva mattress. I chose this hotel not only for its location (which is perfect) but from the reviews on their beds. You won’t find a more comfortable bed to collapse into after a long day of exploring NOLA! I highly recommend it!

Staff was excellent, room was very clean. The only complaint I have is there was something going on with the AC unit in my room. It made a very loud noise every time it came on & shut off which interrupted my sleep

Hotel location was good. Big convention for what seemed like an elderly cruise line going on during our stay. Made use of elevators take longer due to elevators set up. Not really conducive to larger groups.

The hotel is beautiful, we had the king bed River view room on the 28th floor and loved watching the boats pass by. The location was perfect just outside of the party zone but a quick walk to everything. Daisy, from the concierge service, went above and beyond and had sparkling wine and balloons and a card because I mentioned we were celebrating my husband's 40th birthday. The only small criticism is a few times when I called for service or asked questions at the front desk some of the folks weren't very friendly. The observatory bar was a rice relaxing spot for a drink or snack as well. Overall I would recommend and look forward to going back!

Our week at the Westin in NOLA was excellent. Westin’s location is perfect for a French Quarter area visit. Our corner room on the 24th floor was fabulous! Their staff, including Bill at the door, Roxie at the concierge desk, others at the reception desk & cleaning staff, were great! Been there three times and we will stay there again, without a doubt.

The bedding is clean! Walkable to river, main square, different types of shopping and all the tourist things. Hotel bar was pretty. Only one girl working though, they could have used another staff member. Bellman situation a little slow but I felt it was lack of staff vs lack of hustle. Need more staff but to was super clean. Great view of river and nice to walk along the river in am. Easy access to trolleys
