I booked a king, pet friendly room. Upon arrival I was told my room was a two double bed, pet friendly. When I requested the king, I was told none were available and I also had to pay an additional $15 per night for my 6 lb dog. This charge was not mentioned on the Expedia site. When I questioned the charge I was told the credit card would be declined through Expedia if the motel tried to charge the pet fee. I was also told if the king, pet friendly became available I could move to the room... this did not happen. Otherwise very friendly and polite staff, clean room and good breakfast.

The pool was not working. They offered us a discount because of this but unfortunately, because we prepaid through Expedia, they couldn't give us one. The rooms were clean but dated.

The room was clean and breakfast was good. Bed wasn't very comfortable and the pillows were little squares half the size of a normal pillow and not comfortable.

It was hard to find the correct driveway. The parking lot is deteriorating. Inside nice older property, but outside seemed ill kept & dirty.

The lady at the front desk was awesome however when we went to our room could not help but notice how many room doors had been broken into also when we got to our room the door was standing wide open when we went into the room and pulled the curtains back there was a bullet hole in the window we will never stay there again

Worst night ever
Clean but all disposable cups were open and put back it their wrapping, bed was terrible had a bow it the middle no matter what you did you rolled to the middle did sleep at all and the worst thing of all bath tub would not drain had to stop in the middle of it let it drain for 15 minutes then finish.

Room smelled very musty, which seemed to permeate everything-especially the pillows. Breakfast was the usual average fair found at most hotels. The door to the room did not seem secure at all. Picked this hotel based on the ratings of other guests, but the ratings/comments do not seem in sync with this hotel

Everything at this hotel was satisfactory. The front desk staff were friendly, and check in and out was easy and fast. We were told the pool was open until 10 pm, but we didn't have time to swim so I can't comment on the quality of the pool. There was also a fitness room but we didn't use it. We were happy with the breakfast. There were many options, including waffles, cheese omelets, and sausage along with cold options like cereal, fruit, and yogurt. Our room's level of cleanliness was on par with other 2 or 3 star hotels. The door in the bathroom was definitely old, with paint peeling at the bottom, and the tub was also old, but everything seemed fine. I did notice a few (like 5 total) hairs in the tub and bathroom floor when we arrived. I only probably noticed because i saw other reviews that said the bathroom was dirty, but other than a few hairs, it was clean.

Showed up after long day of travel to no one at the desk. After 10 minutes someone finally showed and got my partner Pat and I checked in. The attendant had red hair, I believe her name was Grace. I get to my door, and the keycards don't work. I look down the hall and Pat is having same issue but eventually gets in. Had to go back and get a new one, still took like 20 tries to get in door to room 232. I walk in as I'm on a phone call and the light switch doesn't work, and I notice it smells really stale, and that there is a bag in the room, and piles of garbage in the corner. I take a look around and find the bathroom in shambles. My room was never cleaned so I grab all my stuff and go back to the front desk. Front desk was clueless, and didn't know what to do. I told them I needed a new room asap. They finally obliged and got me a new room, no. 236, and told me they gave me a discount. Same issue with keycard. Same smell. Bed hardly made. Fridge is like 50 degrees. Toilet had pee all over. Got through my trip and go to check out, and didn't see my discount reflected. Asked the attendant about it and handed her my receipt. She was old and cranky, don't know her name. She proceeded to rip up my receipt in my face, and tell me it's not their responsibility to give me a discount. I get that I need to take it up with who I booked through, but damn was she rude about it. I am requesting a full refund on my room #232/#236, due to my terrible experience. 0/10.

The Place to Stay
We stay at the Best Western Dutch Valley every time we come into town. We always give them a 5 star rating on every category. Their continental breakfast is very good, also. The friendly and pleasant atmosphere makes us feel at home. We highly recommend!

It’s pretty much a dive. But, with that said there isn’t much in the area to choose from. Hotel is old and has an old musty smell to it. They keep it up, but for me it’s just not a place I’d stay again — I’d go next door to the Holiday Inn Express now that I know better.
