Flying over Central Park. I can never get enough New York. Nothing like a #weekendgetaway in NYC. Empire State view on a snowy day at sunset Everyone loves Central Park in New York. It's an awesome place to catch your breath in a city that doesn't slow down. I spent some time there recently, in hopes of capturing some autumn color in the Park. As it turns out, there was a lot of it, and I was a very happy photographer that day! From http://nomadicpursuits.com/ Had no idea this place existed until I stumbled upon it on a stroll through Central Park. But I wasted no time getting shots from as many viewpoints as possible once I did discover it. As it turns out this is a popular spot for photographers. Lucky I found it then :-)
#StunningStructures Lovely day to see Manhattan Got to love Central Park in the fall

#URBANJUNGLE I just love this view! Central Park showing off its fall wardrobe. Time exposure in Central Park. Fall is so nice in New York
#waterlust Great spot in Central Park Central Park in New York. Bethesda Terrace in Central Park is a popular spot for wedding photos. But the ceiling tiles also make for great accoustics for performers. While I was there, a group sang 'Amazing Grace', and the harmonies gave me goosebumps. #waterlust Located in Central Park, NYC, the bow bridge is one of the most romantic (and filmed) spots in the city. #waterlust #green A realeza se reúne aqui! #sunset #cityscape #nightscape #iphone6 #goldenhour. Waited for 3 hours for this shot. And I was rewarded with a breeze coming in creating a series of waves reflecting the golden light. This is right by the lake. It's such a beautiful section of the park Beautiful Tunnel under Bethesda Terrace....don't miss it when you are visiting Central Park in NYC. I love this spot for photography as it has some beautiful artwork not only on ceiling but walls as well and who doesn't love tunnels 🤓 it's 5 mins walk from Bow bridge and opposite to Bethesda fountain #StunningStructures #nyc #newyork #centralpark #colorful It's the Grand-daddy of holiday parades and for good reason! The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is as American as turkey, mashed potatoes and a tryptophan-induced nap. Definitely put this event on your bucket list. Get there really (really!) early, bring hot cocoa and some patience, and ring in the holiday season the way only NYC can! The I took this photo the day after Nemo storm. Central Park seemed like a Xmas movie that day. I found this little fellow with friends among the trees and decided to pose for me. #Red Near Century 21 on 66th, there is a Saturday Farmers Market. September's produce and flowers is the peak month for this market as evidenced by these flowers. This is NOT photoshopped. #colorful The Manhattan skyline from the ferry out to the statue of liberty.
So good they named it twice. No one does fall colours like New York City! I couldn't get enough of Riverside Park on the upper west side, with all the leaves turning red, orange and yellow, painters drawing inspiration for their canvas, writers drawing inspiration for their words, and some lost souls (like me) just cycling or walking around. Oh NYC, the colours of fall look so good on you 🍁

#waterlust Hot dogs😛 Nathan's Famous, Inc. is an American company that operates a chain of fast food restaurants specializing in hot dogs.
The original Nathan's restaurant stands at the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues in the Coney Island neighborhood of the Brooklyn borough of New York City, New York.
The company's headquarters are at One Jericho Plaza in Jericho, New York, part of Oyster Bay, New York.[1] Central Park in the Fall is so pretty sometime you get lucky and you can get people rowing on the lake.
#waterlust Surrounding you, people are eating lunch, chatting, running, walking their dog or just taking photos like I am. The peacefulness of the ponds give me a sense of tranquility and calmness. This is definitely a good spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city's busy streets. A trail lined with sakura makes Central Park magical in the spring (cherry blossoms make everything better in my book!). New York City in the fall is absolutely breathtaking. While strolling through Central Park with my family, I was lucky enough to capture this photograph right before this bird took flight. #colorful #red Lovely walk at Grand Central Station The color of the Pond in early fall. 1WTC looking south, hovering in Midtown. An unforgettable experience flying around New York in a doorless chopper.
#LifeAtExpedia #newyork Morning after snowy day at Central Park NYC When visiting central park the iconic Bethesda Terrace is a must! With the tile clad ceiling and views out to the fountain it makes for some great pics! Tip: Visit early in the morning to avoid heavy tourist traffic and snap a clearer shot! #LifeAtExpedia A view downtown ... One of the main sites of Central Park many movies were filmed here No no no! I can't take three of my favorites things enveloped together like this. Flatbread baked with mushroom, shaved parmesan, and arugula, drizzled with truffle oil appetizer was outstanding and makes me realize being a Classic Central Park picture. Love the reflection in the lake. I love going to central park the ducks and turtles are so cool. If you're ever in NYC, make a trip to the upper west side and have a cup of hot chocolate at Cafe Lalo. This cafe is famous for its cameo in You've Got Mail, but it's renowned for its spread of desserts and delicious hot chocolate. #Delicious #foodiefinds #sweetspot 1st time here. It's a gorgeous time of year in NYC and in particular Central Park. Up North the leaves have turned and dropped but Central Park is glowing. The lowering sun creates a gorgeous light through the yellow fall leaves. #StunningStructures #Expedia #Travel #NYC #CentralPark My favorite seafood haunt in the upper west side, Amsterdam btw 87/88th. They also make the BEST onion rings!!! #restaurant. #Delicious Duck Pond at Central Park visited by a heron Central Park must see, Bethesda Terrace has a beautifully decorated underpass.
According to reference, the colored carved stone is New Brunswick sandstone with granite and herringbone paving of Roman brick laid on edge.
#UrbanJungle My sister and I were wandering through Central Park, and we happened to come across two little girls laughing crazily as a man blew the largest bubbles we'd ever seen. Admit it: this would have been awesome to do as kids. #weekendgetaway George Washington Bridge from Washington Heights at the water's edge. #BVStrove View of #TheEldorado Doing one of my walks during my visit to NYC #goldenhour #architecture The Rose Center for Earth and Space at the Natural History Museum stands at the edge of the classical Natural History Museum. It is easy to find, the glass cube with a globe inside glows during nighttime and is bathed in sunlight during the day. Design by Ennead Architects. The glass cube stands at 120 feet high, glass supported by stainless steel girders which houses an 87-foot tall white orb. The encased globe houses a planetarium called the Big Bang Theater. The exit is a spiraling ramp which shows the 13 billion years of stellar evolution and human history.
#stunningstructures Reflection An apartment in the corner of 72nd Street and Central Park West. Home of legendary Beatles member, John Lennon. and the same place where he was murdered. The Dakota is considered to be one of Manhattan's most prestigious and exclusive cooperative residential buildings. Awesome interactive museum for kids! Taken September 2015. First day of Autumn. #blue Another item of interest that makes New York city rock is the NYC MARATHON. Running 26.2 is no joke and I can say this bc I ran NYC in 2004. I also ran another marathon in another city and can say the energy level in NYC is SIMPLY.THE.BEST and could probably generate the same amount of energy as Hoover Dam. Some racers wear elaborate costumes but this was a new one to me… temporary butterfly tattoos all over your legs to make you feel like you are light and flying through the race. The unmistakable spiral structure of the Guggenheim, with the webbed glass dome that illuminates the museum beautifully with natural light. Rowboat on Central Park Lake The spiralling ramps may seem dizzying to some, but it definitely is an interesting way to view exhibitions. Wright got it right ;) Duke Ellington Blvd. aka 106 St. in Manhattan. Love this area Looking across the jacqueline kennedy onassis reservoir in central park. Beautiful in 3 hours of Sunday!! Taking a stroll through Central Park during the summer. It's amazing how such a busy city can have such a naturally beautiful and calm place right in the middle of it. Fulton on 75/3rd. Yummy macaroni side dish cooked in an adorable iron mini cauldron. The mall really empties out when it's #snowing #centralpark #nyc #snow The gondola rides in Central Park. You can get one by the boathouse restaurant and bar. The bar has a patio overlooking the water. It's s great place to have a drink and relax in NYC.
#waterlust Spring is a perfect time to visit Manhattan! What a nice weather I could not help snapping this shot. I think I will nickname it So I'm not someone who likes large crowds and traffic but had to experience NYC at least once. Would go back after spending a few days in Central Park if only for a afternoon just to experience what that park brings to the hustle and bustle that is Manhattan One of the most scenic spot in Central Park. Majong-tiled bathroom at Fusha. VERY clever!!! #TroveOn Enjoying the first time I saw Central Park, it paints a different picture during winter as it does when it is spring , summer and fall. Luckily I saw her blanketed in snow and it was delightful. #snow Rising from Bethesda Terrace is Bethesda Fountain, with the famous Angel of the Waters statue atop. The statue references the Gospel of John, which describes an angel blessing the Pool of Bethesda and giving it healing powers. The fountain commemorates the Croton water system, which first brought fresh water to New York City in 1842. The angel carries a lily in her left hand — a symbol of the water's purity, very important to a city that had previously suffered from a devastating cholera epidemic before the system was established. The piece is the only statue that was commissioned for the Park. Created by Emma Stebbins, it also marked the first time a woman received a public art commission in New York City. #snow The mall. Built for Benjamin Newton Duke (1855 – 1929), the Benjamin N. Duke House is one of the classic Fifth Avenue townhouses. Two of Duke's neighbors were Vanderbilts, but both of those mansions were torn down in the 1920s and 1930s. When Duke died in 1929, his children inherited the house, who kept it in the family for another 77 years until they sold it in 2006 to Tamir Sapir, who then sold it to Carlos Slim in 2010 for $44,000,000. Slim has said in a recent interview with CNBC that he is planning on using the house as a place to stay when he is in New York for business.
Designed by Alexander M. Welch, the house was built in 1901 in a Beaux-Arts style with French Renaissance interior, decorated mainly with Louis XV furniture. The house is eight stories high, 20,000 square feet and measures 100 feet wide, and 27 feet deep. The mansion also has a private staircase on the top floor that leads to a rooftop balcony. The builders were so ingenious that they even put closets in the same spot in the home on every single level so that when elevators were developed contractors could remove the closets, build elevator shafts, and install the elevators. Benjamin's brother James Buchanan Duke (1856–1925) also built a townhouse on Fifth Avenue, the James B. Duke House, which was designated a New York City Landmark in 1970, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. Tucked into Amsterdam Avenue, the largest cathedral - take a luxurious stroll... #nyc #upperwestside #roadtrip #cathedrals #architecture Bethesda #Fountain @ #CentralPark in #NewYork ... #NYC #Water #SummerTime New York! Welling Court Mural Project has filled the streets of this section of Astoria, Queens with graffiti images Imagine I so love this spot! Thought may sis's burger looked yummy. Too bad she ordered it med well. New York. How you've been missed! Butterfly Conservatory The Mall, Central Park, New York City.
Four visits later, and this is still my favorite spot in the city. I'm a big city girl, and I love the rush and hustle and bustle of Times Square and Broadway, but there's nothing quite like the peaceful escape you get from all that chaos by strolling this gargantuan park. And in early summertime, it's absolutely gorgeous. An amazing spring day in Central Park is always refreshing and romantic!
