Excellent location, a couple blocks up from Times Square, right opposite the Gershwin theatre. Super easy to wander around that area and can easily walk to Hell's Kitchen or find a convenient subway to wherever you want to go. The hotel itself is clean and serviceable. For this hotel you are paying for clean, small but comfortable rooms in a great touristy location. You have to pay for wifi and coffee/tea is not always there the whole time. Also, the hotel is undergoing renovation/ re-construction - which goes all night :( Keep in mind, Times Square is a tourist trap so prices (for food/ drinks/ clothes/ souvenirs etc) are quite high - particularly if you have an exchange rate to deal with. If you do stay here, I'd recommend wandering over to Hell's Kitchen for their happy hour deals and slightly cheaper but equally yummy food.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your candid feedback. As renovation is scheduled only during the day while most of our guests are out enjoying the city, I have addressed this manner over to out engineer department and I apologize for any inconvenience. I am please to hear you have enjoyed our prime location and I agree that Hell Kitchen is ideal for those looking for great food at good prices. The coffee and tea is available in the morning from 6-10am, a great way to begin the day. I hope you keep us in mind for a future trip to NYC! Cheers,

Nice Hotel close to Times Square

Posted Apr 28, 2017
Pros: Friendly staff that responded quickly when there was a problem with the internet. Comfortable quiet room with good bed.
Cons: Considering how inexpensive the room was I didn't expect a large room but the room was adequate for my needs.
Location: Times Square and all the attractions are within a couple of blocks and with the subway so close you can go anywhere.
I accidentally booked the next day but the staff graciously found me a room and gave me an upgrade. The rooms are small - but cost half the rate of most hotels in the area. The room was clean, well maintained and reasonably quiet considering the location. The subway was only steps away.

Nice find of a Hotel in the Times Square area.

Pros: Small and Quiet.
Cons: free Wi-Fi in the rooms. More seating in lobby.
Location: close to the 7th ave & 8th ave Subway stops. Close to Broadway Theaters.
Nice small, comfortable rooms. Great for a single person. Good water pressure in shower.

Location is good but needs updates

Posted Apr 10, 2017
Our room did not look much like the pictures. We reserved a king room but were given a room with two doubles. The beds were very comfortable. Radiator heat though. Hotel was very warm. Air Conditioner was very old. Restaurant was nice. Bathroom nice A little disappointed when we asked staff where we could print our boarding passes and they said they could do it at the front desk instead of sending us to the two business centers that we found later. It's hard to pull up boarding passes from phone. Good location. This was nothing to brag about but has reasonable price, clean and close to Broadway/Times Square.

I sincerely apologize for the less than satisfactory experience that you had during your recent visit and I apologize for any inconveniences that took place. As we pride ourselves on offering each and every guest impeccable service, it is rather disappointing to hear that we fell short of our goal. Warm Regards, Front Office Manager

The room is too small. The toilet didn't work well.

Good Evening, Thank you for taking the time for taking our survey. I am sorry to hear there were some issues with the room. As a boutique hotel, some one of rooms are on a bit on the cozy size, however we do have larger rooms. Have engineer on property 24/7 that would have looked and resolved the toilet. I hope you keep us in mind in the future.

Clean, good for budget, nothing fancy, be patient

Posted Apr 4, 2017
Pros: Affordable and in great location. Very clean.
Cons: Quicker service. We had to wait around a lot for staff to respond, and usually had to call back and request again.
Location: GREAT LOCATION! Next to all the major subway stations, right on Broadway, close to shopping, restaurants, shows.
Staff was friendly, but we always had to ask twice for things. We had our bags stored until check in, and when we checked in and asked for our bags to be brought up, we waited 20 minutes before calling the desk and asking them to bring them again. We called about unclogging the sink, and had to call again because nobody showed up the first time. I had some kind of allergic reaction to the bedding, and they offered to bring us up different pillows, but they never changed them. Hotel is very clean. Room is tiny, but you shouldn't expect to stay in the room for too long anyway. Bed was comfortable, adequate storage for bags and clothes, good sized bathroom. Housekeeping was good. Elevator took forever. No free wifi in the rooms, only in lobby. So if you want wifi, you'd have to pay $10 a day, or book somewhere with free wifi in the rooms. If you just want somewhere clean and affordable to stay in New York, I would say this place is great. I would stay again, except my allergies to the bedding were so awful I had to take benedryl every night just to get a few hours of sleep. And don't expect fast service. And you'll probably need to call down twice.

Right in the middle of everything

Absolutely loved location of this hotel. So close to everything. It's an old building so don't expect too much but it's very clean and staff are amazing. And let's face it- you don't go to NY to spend all day in the hotel. Special thanks to Susan and Alicia for being lovely and funny and entertaining. Really helpful if you wanted to know something or book something.

Superb Location. Staff very courteous & helpful.

Posted Mar 30, 2017
Pros: The location is unbeatable. The staff are amazing.
Cons: Heating system. Insulate windows. The severe snowstorm made it worse. Summer must be fine.
Location: Easy access to subway/bus routes/affordable eating places/24hr open stores/walk to theaters/Times Square/Rockefeller Center
Staff were all wonderful and responded immediately to any request. The severe snowstorm created issues with the heating/hot water. But it was addressed asap whenever needed. It is an old building, but the rooms are clean and serviced everyday. Fresh linens and good quality towels. Fridge. Iron Board. TV. Tea/coffee available in the mornings. During checkout the staff arranged for an airport shuttle that cost way less than the cab I took to get to the hotel from the JFK airport!
