Clean, good for budget, nothing fancy, be patient

Staff was friendly, but we always had to ask twice for things. We had our bags stored until check in, and when we checked in and asked for our bags to be brought up, we waited 20 minutes before calling the desk and asking them to bring them again. We called about unclogging the sink, and had to call again because nobody showed up the first time. I had some kind of allergic reaction to the bedding, and they offered to bring us up different pillows, but they never changed them.
Hotel is very clean. Room is tiny, but you shouldn't expect to stay in the room for too long anyway. Bed was comfortable, adequate storage for bags and clothes, good sized bathroom. Housekeeping was good. Elevator took forever. No free wifi in the rooms, only in lobby. So if you want wifi, you'd have to pay $10 a day, or book somewhere with free wifi in the rooms. If you just want somewhere clean and affordable to stay in New York, I would say this place is great. I would stay again, except my allergies to the bedding were so awful I had to take benedryl every night just to get a few hours of sleep. And don't expect fast service. And you'll probably need to call down twice.
