Poor qualityPosted Nov 17, 2015
The staff was not friendly at all. Breakfast is a feature they shouldn't offer. Old bagels and boiled eggs is not a breakfast in NYC

Not an airport hotelPosted Oct 11, 2015
Cons: Expedia should de-list it. Significantly below any standard ever experienced through site. It damages your brand.
Hotel was listed as near airport. It was not. No shuttle service. $20 + cab fare each way. No coffee in room. No iron and board. Not even a plastic bag for laundry. No lights on night table. No clock in room. One step up from a decent prison cell.

Very nice and clean hotelPosted Sep 5, 2015
Pros: Room cleanliness and staff friendliness
Location: This hotel is in the middle of all the nice Chinese restaurants with good food.
We were so impressed with the room which is just like in the pictures posted on the Internet. We ourselves do not like carpet especially nice hotel with nice lobby but the carpet in the room is dirty looking. When we came in the room, we were so happy about the clean parquet floor. Everything in the room is so clean. The staff is very nice. The free breakfast is good, the waiter could make you fresh waffles too. There is no parking but there are couple public parking places nearby . We chose the Prince street parking and prepaid with parkwiz. This parking is not even one block away, it is so nice and the staff is nice also. We came here for US Open tennis, we came every year since 2002 and with our budget, this hotel so far is the nicest, we will come back to this hotel again next year. The only downfall is to go to the tennis center, it is quite difficult even with GPS, but everything around Flushing meadow is difficult to reach anyway. Last year we stayed in holiday inn la guardia, which is easier to go to the tennis center with the free shuttle but we like this hotel better.

A really nice experiancePosted Aug 24, 2015 on Hotels
We had a really nice stay at the Asiatic Hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. For sure, the rooms and the beds are small, espacially you are a family with older children, but very clean. Don't forget, you are in NYC! We stayed for 3 nights and have had every day new towels, well prepared beds, toothbrushes, cups... For this price it is more then worth the money. It's in Queens in a asiatic area, a little bit outside from Manhattan, but really authentic and a little bit loud. But just 5 minutes away from the Flushing/Main-Street Subway Station. So we were within 25-30 minutes at the Times Square with the express-train. We are from Berlin, Germany so it is normal to us to go by train for a while. You can take a 10 minute walk to the corona park, including Mets Citifield, Flushing Meadows tennis area and so on.You can have a huge choice of many different asiatic restaurants and markets. The clerk organized us a shuttle to the JFK airport for nearly the same price we would have payed with the subway and the airport train. All in all we really liked our stay at the Asiatic Hotel and surely will come back again if we are in the New York City area once again.
