Although the hotel staff was lacking in the fundamental basics of hospitality, the hotel offered a pleasant stay for my family. Elevators are limited to two that are older and SLOW! The amenities are limited to a small breakfast buffet, fitness centre, and lobby area that has two computers and a coffee machine. Although the coffee / cappuccino machine was down for a day, they quickly had it repaired and running after one day.

I am sorry to read that the check-in process wasn't faster than you had anticipated. Unfortunately, New York State Law requires us to obtain ID from every guest that checks into our or any New York hotel.
