nice hotel close to shopping and good restaurants

Pros: close to shopping and restaurants
Cons: Lobby, but they have plans to renovate in place.
Location: shopping and bars and restaurants, also golf course nearby and beaches not far.
Staff updated our room to one of their newly renovated room which was large and lovely. Will stay there again.

Thanks Kate, All rooms are renovated as of May 2015 so I'm glad you enjoyed the new look. We are doing lobby renovations and expect to be completed in the fall 2015.

Very Disappointed

Let me say that if a hotel is being renovated they should make mention of it on their website so the guest could make the decision on weather they want to stay there or not.. I did not find this out until i arrived at the hotel The website said that there was a refrigerator in every room..When i inquired about why i did not have one in my room... I was told that they didnt have any because they were still under renovation\ The Ice machine on a few floors were out of order.. So if you wanted ice,,you had to go all the way down to the main desk,with your ice bucket so that they can fill up your bucket,,, From god knows where they got in in some back room I arrived to my room and noticed after about 10 minutes that the door did not close completely behind me.. I had to go back to the door and turn the handle to completely close the door... I went down to the front desk clerk and reported this to him and made mention that this was a security issue... He promised me that someone from the maintenance dept. would come and check it out.. He never showed up

Pros: Close to where my daughter lives
Cons: They are renovating so that will be an improvement
Location: Great location near Subway into Manhattan, Nice restaurants close by, I think the area is terrific
Hotel is under renovation. It is located around the corner from my daughter so I plan to stay there when I visit. The room was new,clean and comfortable. When all the renovations are complete, it will be nice. One item you may want to think about is the glass shower doors. They don't roll smooth.

The staff were like your aunts and uncles, and grandma making you feel at home and taking care you us...from the valet to directions to check-in and check-out. When checking out we had to leave about 20 minutes prior to the free breakfast becoming available. The morning staff insisted we get food to go from their breakfast ...giving us coffee, warm fresh New York bagels, cream cheese, and fruit...plates and napkins were provided as well. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel overall was clean. Good neighborhood, subway was only 2 blocks away, and good old fashion New York style bodegas within 2 blocks. The location is not ideal for a long NYC tourist stay. But for the savings its worth taking the subway into Manhattan. I would stay here again without question if the location fit for the purpose of my stay.

Standard hotel - decent place

Needed to stay in Bay Ridge close to Shore Road promenade and this hotel served the purpose. Valet was nice and car was returned without any issues. Rich at front desk was helpful in recommending nearby places to eat. Room was very clean and comfortable. Would stay again if I needed to be in the area. Loved 3rd Avenue- great little markets, coffee shops and restaurants. Definitely check out Tie Dye Pig on 3rd at 91st. If you like craft beer- great selection. Didn't eat there as we stopped someplace else prior to finding TDP and were very disappointed to have done so. Owner\chef, William, was very welcoming and knowledgeable about beers and you can tell has a passion for his food. Gave us a free sample of the bacon appetizer to nibble on with our beers- delicious! I'd come back to Bay Ridge and stay at the Gregory BW just so I could go back to Tie Dye Pig!

Ok if you have to be in this section of Brooklyn

Pros: it was in the location that I needed to be in
Cons: it is clean enough. nothing really. I have stayed here before so my expectations are low.
Location: I was here for family so I don't know
I find it to be expensive for what you get. I would not choose to stay here, but I needed a place right in this neighborhood. front desk folks are pleasant. There were a lot of tourists so the breakfast room was packed and there were not enough tables and chairs.

I am sorry that you did not have a pleasant experience here with us in the Best Western Gregory Hotel. I also want you to now that we are under construction to bring the breakfast area up to the first floor where there will be much more room for our guests as we have been usually sold out which is the reason for the crowded areas. I do hope you will come back to the hotel as we have tried very hard to accommodate our guest with the newly renovations of all of our rooms and now are in the process of renovations of all the common areas. Friendly clean hotel

Pros: helpful staff clean room & bathroom breakfast
Cons: hotel to have their own parking lot instead of nearby public lot
Location: excellent variety of shops & diverse restaurants/eateries public transit availability both subway and buses, and cabs
All hotel staff were helpful and gave service with a smile! The complimentary breakfast was diverse and delicious

First time in Brooklyn

We really liked it there. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We used the hotel valet parking- that was the best idea, since there is not parking in the hotel and we didn't know where to park on the street. The subway is across the street which is convenient to go to NYC and other areas. We had a newly renovated room, and it was nice. They are doing more renovations but that didn't interfere with our stay. The area is nice, they have stores and nice restaurants close by. I personally loved having breakfast in Mocha Mocha Coffee! The coffee was awesome and breakfast was very good as well. Overall, our stay was pleasant, nice staff, rooms were clean and very convenient area.
