Good Hotel with Great staff!

Pros: Coffee station on our floor with 24 hour access
Cons: The lighting in the room was poor. Larger lamp and mirror on the desk, tricking for 4 ladies to get ready at the same time.
Location: Loved being in walking distance to Macy's and Eataly is wonderful, a must visit!
Hotel was good in a good location. Room with fine. I loved having 24 hour access to the coffee pot and water station on our floor. Staff was WONDERFUL! I would stay here again.

Ideal base

We stayed for 3 nights and the hotel and rooms were great. Added bonus of complimentary continental breakfast and iced water and coffee on tap.

Fab view of the Empire State building

Pros: The view was fab and the superking size bed was comfortable.
Cons: Another chair in the room would be useful.
Location: Subway very close and easy to use. Restaurants close by and shops just a short stop away. Empire State building in walking distance.
The hotel hobby was small and dark but we were pleasantly surprised by our light and airy room. There was only one chair in the room which meant that one of us had to sit on the bed to eat breakfast. The bed was extremely comfortable but ithe room was very noisy at night. The continental breakfast was limited but being able to have tea or coffee whenever you wanted was a real bonus. The lifts were a bit on the slow side and it was frustrating that only one of the two lifts went past the seventh floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was lovely and clean. I would stay there again.

We do have plans to renovate the exterior of the building, and also enlarge, renovate and move the lobby within the next 18 months as the building was an office building that was converted. Eventually we will renovate all the guest rooms again and become a 4 star plus product even though the rooms were just renovated within the last 18 months. Pros: I like the hotel because everything was nearby, clean and the staffs are friendly.
Location: Empire State Building, restaurant , Times Square, Macy and others.
Excellentt experience when you are first time in New York, the Empire State Building walking distance, Times Square and restaurant.

Nice hotel reasonably close to all the excitement

Location: Fifteen minutes to Times Square,ten minutes to Washington square
We enjoyed our seven day stay in in this hotel ,the continental breakfast was excellent,the rooms and the hotel in general were spotless ,would certainly stay there again

Excellent choice of hotel with great staff

Pros: Staff took time to talk to us asking us our plans for that day and providing us with timely and helpful advice.
Location: Empire State Building, Times Square. On the 'R' line subway giving easy access to upper lower areas of Manhattan.
The location of this hotel made this an ideal central location in Manhattan, having a subway station within in a minute's walk which provided easy access to the lower and upper areas of the city. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and polite, and really made us feel welcome during our stay. Anthony, head of concierge, and his team did a first class job in giving us helpful advice and also helped us book a helicopter flight and our transport to Newark Airport. Also the reception staff were helpful and knowledgeable in assisting with any queries we had. The room was of a very generous size for New York having a queen size bed, large tv, fridge and the usual storage facilities you would expect from a hotel of this size and type. We were lucky enough to have a view of the Empire State Building from our room, which was just fantastic. Rooms were cleaned and serviced on a daily basis. The bathroom consisted of a bath, shower, toilet, wash hand basin, and hairdryer. Breakfast was served from 07:00 hrs to 10:00 daily with fresh pastries, bagels and fruit, together with apple juice and orange juice...just perfect to set you up for a day of sightseeing. Starbucks coffee was also available 24/7. Vending machines for coke, lemonade and snacks are also available. Our return flight wasn't due to leave until 20:00; checkout time from the hotel was 12:00 however we were able to leave our bags safely at the hotel until our taxi collected us. Overall very satisfied.

Standard hotel

The hotel itself is ok, rooms are standard no tea making facilities or fridge in the room, come back early one day and our room still haven’t been cleaned at 4pm no clean bedding provided used the same sheets. current building work going on around the hotel itself, breakfast was in just a kitchen limit food available.

We wish you had something to us while in-house about the bedding as that is very surprising to hear. Housekeeping services rooms daily between 9AM-5PM and linens are changed daily throughout the day. There is also an afternoon shift available until 8 PM. Again, we can only apologize for any inconvenience and wish you had said something to us. While there are no tea makers in the rooms we do offer 24-hour fresh ground Starbucks coffee and Lipton tea each day in our 4th floor lounge. We also offer a complimentary continental breakfast each day (most hotels do not) which includes orange and apple juice, whole bananas and apples, assorted danish, croissants, donuts, muffins and bagels with cream cheese and jellies. We understand the lounge is a bit small with limited seating but think our guests appreciate the extra value we offer. We try to offer a better value and guests can always take the food back to their rooms with the trays we provide or out with them when going on their day. Again, our sincere apologies for not meeting your expectations as your experience was not typical and we hope you would be willing to give us another chance. We hope to have you back with us again. Great hotel and location. Breakfast was really nice and fresh and staff were really helpful. The room was clean modern and big with a great view. The only criticism is that the bathroom could be updated to match the room but other than that we liked staying there and would stay again
