This grand old hotel is very conveniently located with Penn Street subway within feet of the front door, and Madison Square Garden across the street. The basement museum on the hotel provides details of the history of this hotel in its glory days. Built in the early 1900s, it was the social center ...
We like Club Quarter's model for a hotel and use them when we are on business trips. This location is no exception though we think they could benefit from the re-model that seemed to be underway while we were staying there. The water bottle service, which is a nice aspect of one's stay, was not working ...
We had a confusing check-in. Drove into the city and no one was outside to greet us and direct us to parking. Check-in was swift, room key given but no explanation about hotel facilities and amenities, concierge service, etc. On way to find our room, we were also stopped abruptly by staff in lobby ...
Overall I was very pleased with my stay. I stayed for two nights. The room was kind of small, but that can be expected for New York. The great thing about this hotel is it is in a great location. Next time in New York, I will definitely consider staying here again.
I stayed at YOTEL and POD 51... I can definitely say POD is a small downgrade, but in a better location. The hotel aint bad, its clean... but not as confortable as the other one.
I was very pleased with my last minute booking at Hotel Metro. I was able to check-in the morning of my reservation. The breakfast was very nice as were the staff members. Parking discount was also much appreciated.
Roger at the front desk was very accommodating and professional. They offer wine at 5 o'clock. Chris could not have been more helpful. He was funny entertaining and very gracious.
My wife and I wanted to see some Broadway plays, visit museums, and shop while walking as much as possible for exercise. The hotel's location at 48th and Lexington Avenue was optimal for us.
Apart from the check in which was not the most organised, everything else was good or great. Room was clean, staff friendly and helpful, restaurant/bar good too. The hotel is a good location, 5-10 mins walk to Times Square, close to shops, bars and restaurants. I would stay there again.
The hotel staff were very helpful, with particular mention of Iris, a truly pleasant New Yorker! Rooms were a good size with nice bathroom. The breakfasts at the sister hotel just a short distance away were substantial and again with pleasant staff. If there were a minor negative it could be the ...
