This hotel is a hidden gem. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We were in town for a concert and needed a place to stay. I would choose this hotel again for future stays while in NYC.

The room was clean but needed upgrades. The desk chair was torn in several places, coffee machine didn’t work, peeling paint on bathroom ceiling, stains on the pillow inside the pillow case, cracked tiles in the shower and when I entered the room the door to a small balcony was open which I found unsettling. I was able to turn down the heat on the heating h it but couldn’t turn it off completely which was annoying because the fan was quite loud.

Hardly any sleep due to pipes hissing every 17 seconds for 30 secs a time throughout the night. Hotel in a run down part of Brooklyn (although safe) and a cab needed to get anywhere decent to eat. Would not recommend.

We paid for a triple room we got 2 single beds which on the website it is described as two double beds the third bed was a single roll in mattress it was a disgrace there was mould all around the bath it wasn’t the best stay

I loved this place staff was friendly, he said we have tea coffee and vending machine. In the morning I went for tea, they didn’t have any, coffee old and cold, I went to the vending machine, no coke! I died of thirst! Other than that it was nice.

The hotel was convenient to where I needed to be for my trip however I wasn’t too happy with a lot of the conditions. We reserved a 2 bed suite with sleeper. We had to use and maintain an old school key for the door (which stuck and needed jimmied each time we used the door), the bathroom sink took all day for water to drain from brushing teeth, the electronics came on by themselves, the bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t shut all the way and was literally falling apart, the sleeper was a fouton chair that half of it was on the ground. I would have preferred staying at an inconvenient location with nicer facilities.

Disappointingly noisy hotel
In a rather rundown and litter-strewn area of Brooklyn, our experience was disappointing. Many of the rooms have interconnecting doors to adjacent rooms and these are not soundproofed so we could hear everything from next door. Also room doors shut in a noisy way meaning disturbed sleep each night from people coming back in the early hours of the morning. Also disappointed with the room facilities. The curtain was hanging off the track – reported during our stay but not fixed. The toilet cistern was faulty and constantly refilled very noisily all day and night. Reported this as well and nothing done to fix it. The coffee machine didn’t work – again not fixed. The kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator was useful but with only one chair in the room one of us was always sitting on the bed. They offer no breakfast (that’s fine because they don’t pretend to offer it) but there are few nearby venues to find something to eat in the mornings and the hotel is in the middle of an Orthodox Jewish area with local shop closing times that may not be convenient. Despite the staff being friendly and welcoming and the room being serviced well, I would not stay again. It’s just too noisy and, for what it is, far too expensive.
