Okay hotel near airportPosted Aug 6, 2015
It is a okay hotel close to the airport. It is not in the best location (on a dead end road, not in walking distance of any restaurant). Super small lobby. Upon check in the staff gave us three menus for local restaurants-all unappealing. It took forever for us to check in, even though it was 1am. Only on person on duty who was very slow. If you need to close to the airport for a okay price, choose this hotel.....not for any other reason.

Slept WellPosted Aug 6, 2015
Pros: I liked the comfortable room, the staff, the hot, early breakfast and the free shuttle to the airport, also the rate was lower than most.
Cons: The immediate area wasn't anything special at all but it was close to JFK and a free shuttle to and from the airport was important to us.
Location: My son who lives in the area ordered us an 'Uber' taxi which is a less expensive way to get around than a regular taxi. That was a great experience.
I really liked the staff and the comfortable room. The housecleaning lady was very thoughtful and wanted to hurry and get our room ready even before a 3pm check in since she knew we were waiting. It was very clean and presentable. Also, the morning breakfast assistant was great and very attentive. The fresh omelet and waffle made for a great start. The person that checked us in was very professional as well as the drivers of the shuttle to the airport. We had just arrived after a 14 hour trip from South Korea where the beds were hard and low off the ground. The bed at the hotel felt wonderful. We had a great experience. Thank you so much! It was perfect for our long layover.

Within miles of Jamaica Ave stores $50 taxi ridePosted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: The Taxi service was fast and efficient, hotel bus to Airport, front desk staff was very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to assist.
Cons: 2 wash cloths, should be given when more the 1 person in room, need fridge & microwave in room we had suite , breakfast ends @ 9am to early
Location: Very close to Green Acres Mall & JFK.
Stayed at the hotel for a long weekend was great!. I found it to be very comfortable and have no problem vacationing there again. We never was able to make the early breakfast time so I'm unable to comment on the foods or service. Wish we would have had a fridge and microwave in room for usage once we return to the room for the night.

Basic, but a great location for JFK stopover flight. Not many places to eat nearby.

Pros: Close to JFK
Arriving from Europe, I was just spending a night to catch the next day flight. The room was dirty, bugs and mold on the walls.

Don't get trapped!Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: The only good thing about this hotel is the close proximity to JFK...however, there are many other options in the area and I would definitely find one
Location: Convenient to JFK but find another hotel, there are plenty in the area!
The two main reasons I booked this hotel was "free airport shuttle" and "sofa bed" in room for a 3rd person to sleep. Although there was a shuttle, it only ran every hour which means you have to be incredible early on arrival or cut it close depending on your flight time. We ended up taking a shuttle to the airport to drop our son thinking we would take the shuttle back. When we came out of the airport lobby to find the shuttle, we would have had to go into another building, take a train to the next stop, go up stairs...blah blah blah...needless to say, we just took a taxi. The "sofa bed" was not a sofa bed, it was a sofa chair that could accommodate a small child as it was only 24" wide! Once opened in the room (even though it was small) there was no floor space left. It took forever to get checked into this hotel or get any type of service. The "breakfast" was a real joke. Breakfast area seats about 12 people for the entire hotel and is so crowded, you can barely get a cup of coffee if that is all you wanted. Also, if you are on the "1st" floor, you are mostly underground! The hallways are so narrow, you can't walk by the maids cart with your luggage unless you turn your luggage sideways...no rolling by. BEWARE people, find another place. This hotel was the worse I have ever stayed in and it wasn't cheap! A real trap...

The 24-hour shuttle is awesome! I took the 3:30 am shuttle and it only took me 10 minutes to get to the terminal. Very good for people to catch the early flight!

Pros: The shuttle service was efficient and drivers courteous. Other than that, I didn't like anything and was sorry to have spent so much money.
Cons: Rooms were quite shabby. Breakfast food was not the greatest and breakfast room very small and crowded.
Location: Hotel is in the middle of an asphalt, dirty and crowded area--for the price, it was shocking. No decent place to eat within walking distance.
I was disappointed with the Days Inn. The front door was practically in a fenced-in school bus lot and the area was dirty and unfriendly looking. Our room smelled of chemicals and the bathroom of urine. We had 2 people and were provided with 1 washcloth, and 2 thin, small towels. Not really acceptable in my book for the price.
