Elevators are slow and very full, because there are so many floors and guests.
Parking is not in the hotel building, but run by a separate company half a block away. Self-parking means you drop it off at the garage, but they park it and keep your key. Valet means you drop it off at the hotel and they park it. You should call for directions and rates, as this information is not on the website.

Thank you for your feedback of your stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton New York City - Financial District. Although you had an overall nice stay, I apologize for the elevator wait times. I would also like to inform you that our hotel website clearly mentions about the parking charges. Thanks again for being our guest, we hope to welcome you back for a much better experience.
