Great location and friendly staff

Posted May 23, 2015
Pros: Location and the staff
Cons: Machine noise in 305
Location: All the main attractions of Manhatten
The Dylan is in a great location. I took the airporter transfer which dropped me a 2 minute walk from the hotel. My office was in Lexington again just a few minutes walk away. My only issue with the hotel was that my room was noisy. Once I worked out how to turn off the extreme air conditioning the temperture was ok. It was everything I needed but machine noise meant it wasnt as peacful as it could have been.

Upscale hotel. Downscale room

Posted May 22, 2015
Pros: Location is good but not much else, especially for price
Cons: Room cleanliness. Pride, (?) of staff
Location: Grand Central Station. NY public library
Room not properly cleaned. One night not made up. Front manager made sympathic noises and gave us a coupon for a complementary breakfast on last night when we were leaving at 4am the next morning. Tried to have breakfast on Sunday. Lady in charge said she did not recommend it due to poor quality that day. On Monday she said that much better value at deli across street. Five night stay was low point of our New York experience

Stayed here multiple times over the years. Hotel's starting to show it's wear. Air conditioning system is noisy.

Lyxigt hotellrum stämmer inte så bra:( Ganska slitet o inte värt priset. Området är ganska bra med närhet till Grand Central och biblioteket

No room service when really needed

Posted May 18, 2015 on Hotels
Room was cold. When the thermostat was adjusted to warm cold air kept coming. Called 3x for blankets and didn't get them for 1 1/2 hours despite they're hearing someone in the room was ill.

Not Functional

Posted May 17, 2015 on Hotels
This was one of the most uncomfortable hotel stays I have ever had--and I was there for four days. The spacious and elegant bathroom was covered with beautiful Carrara marble and had beautiful Italian hardware -- but not a towel rod or hook and a tiny lavatory. No soap dish in the shower. The toilet seat would not stay up and would slap you if not held open. The main room had blackout drapes and sheers but they could only be opened together so you had either no natural light or air or you were exposed to the folks working in offices facing your window about 25 feet away. Some guy waved to me as I was pulling on my jeans one day. I had to leave the drapes open somewhat to cool the room as the AC would not. The TV never worked properly and had an annoying static-like hum on most channels. There were non-functioning electrical outlets, including the one on the desktop which did not charge my phone overnight. After a late night out I put a "do not disturb" hanger on the door and got a wake-up telephone call from housekeeping at 9:15 am asking if I expected my room to be cleaned that day. There was an in-room coffee maker, but no coffee to put in it. This place is in desperate need of some maintenance, management and functionality. And it is not inexpensive.

カーテンに難有り

Posted May 12, 2015 on Hotels
高層階の角部屋で、窓も大きく見晴らしは良いが、常にカーテンを閉めていなければならないので、部屋が暗いのが難点。もっと明るい照明か、もしくは遮光カーテンではないカーテンがあれば外も見えて快適なのだが。
