Lovely central locationPosted Nov 24, 2015
Pros: Location is great for accessing all attractions
Location: Central station just across the road, not far from 5th avenue & Broadway.
We got upgrade on arrival, as we were celebrating a birthday, and free wifi for our stay.

Fantastic location, nice hotel, but a bit noisyPosted Nov 18, 2015
We stayed recently for five nights, having travelled to New York to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. When we got to our room, the hotel had given us a bottle of fizz and some chocolate dipped strawberries to celebrate, which was a really nice touch. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and not too small at all. The bathroom (with bath!) was great. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The real star is the location, being two minutes walk from Grand Central Terminal meant that getting anywhere in NY was a breeze. Our room was facing the street and, unfortunately, the office building opposite was undergoing some works, which meant that there were two trucks parked immediately outside every evening to dispose of the offices fit out. They were there each day from about 5 to 10pm, and were really noisy. Nevertheless, this would most likely be a one off, as otherwise the street seemed relatively (compared to other streets in NY) quiet, so I think we just picked the wrong week. Overall we had a great stay in the Fitzpatrick!

Irish charmPosted Nov 13, 2015
I have stayed at both the facility at grand central and at 57th street. Love them both but partial to 57th. Staff are excellent and hotel is lovely. Restaurants attached to the hotel are good. Great shopping. Only downside is outside traffic noise if your room is street side.

Comfortable friendly hotelPosted Nov 10, 2015
Pros: Centrally located on 44th floor between Lexington & Park Avenues. Handy for cocktails in the Waldorf Astoria. Liked the outdoor patio area
Cons: I'm aware it's a small hotel but was disappointed in the small room & the view of office blocks
Location: Good location & plenty bars restaurants & shops close by. The Wheeltappers bar next door provide excellent breakfasts lunches & dinners
Advised at checkin that wifi available free in lobby & for a daily charge of $15 wifi available in guest rooms. I decided against buying the wifi package. My friend checked in a few hours later, staying in s different room. Was surprised to learn wifi offered free of charge in her room. Queried this at reception & was provided free wifi in my room.

Always a great place to stay.Posted Nov 4, 2015
Pros: Location, Location, Location
Cons: Internet service and TV. Could not get CNBC on the date of the Republican debates
Location: Right across from Grand Central Station -- enough said.
Fine location, great staff, nice rooms, good restaurant.

Very close to Grand Central StationPosted Oct 27, 2015
Very good location. Very close to Grand Central Station. So when we got to New York at very late evening, we could still find something good to eat at the Central Station.

Great Hotel, friendly helpful staff and central.Posted Oct 22, 2015
Pros: The location.
The Hotel location is fantastic, few minutes walk to Grand Central Station, 10 min walk to 5th Ave and a 20 min walk to Times Sq. The Hotel itself is clean, comfortable and situated next to a cosy pub for meals & drinks. The Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful especially the Concierge. I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend.

Nice hotel close to Grand Central StationPosted Oct 15, 2015
Pros: Close to all the major sights in New York & across the road to Grand Central station so we could reach the subway easily to get to farther out places.
We were made very welcome and staff were very helpful with all aspects of our booking. They offered very useful advice for first time travellers in New York and arranged all our check in details for the flight home.

great location by grand centralPosted Oct 12, 2015
great location. second visit. clean, spacious rooms with good bedding. the airconditioner has been a problem both times. the fan does not stay on and cycles VERY loudly. also i think most of the rooms have been smoked in (lots of european clientelle) so the air freshner is VERY heavy. very good staff except for the restaurant (which is basically a bar). nice small lobby. we were able to open the windows and it was not too loud through the night.
