Into the woods

Posted Apr 24, 2017
Pros: I liked the gym. Its small but has everything I needed.
Cons: Customer Service, another resturant, Sound proof rooms above disco, food/room service removed from hallways regularly, make rat traps less noticable,
Location: In the woods 20 minutes/1/2 hr away from the ferry to NYC. Nothing to do nearby. Your trapped.
Our experience started out pretty lousy when we were "scolded" as if we were children by Gus the rude & very disrespectful shuttle van driver. For 1/2 an hour he complained that we weren't where we were supposed to be waiting after I politely told him we were given specific instructions from the front desk the day before. His consistent attempt to belittle us in front of other guests in the shuttle was beyond embarrassing. He went so far as to say "its the ferry not JFK we don't have signs you should have known better and waited where the colleges shuttles are!" Keep in mind we are not "kids" as my husband is a senior. I did mention it to the person who gave us the instructions the next day but nothing was don't that we were aware of. No apology at all. They have lots of party's and a disco. The loud thumping at midnight caused us to sleep with the TV on to drown out the noise. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner in Lorenzo's the only place to eat. Our waiter, Jacob, was superb and the breakfast chef makes the best omelets! Sadly we couldn't find any water anywhere unless we were dining. Nothing in the mini fridge and or by the ice where vending machines should be. We really wanted to see the pond and gazebo but it was closed off for events the entire weekend.

Nice looking

Everything is nice about the hotel just wish breakfast wasn't $14.95 and the a la cart prices are ridiculous. I paid $9 for one omelette. I think there should be a cheaper rate if you're staying multiple nights.

Nice and clean room, shower was huge, no parking as the hotel must host special events, only issue, had to park at another hotel.
