Nah an der Subway, außerhalb der Stadt

Pros: Service und Freundlichkeit vom Personal.
Cons: Zimmer modernisieren
Location: In Brooklyn New York City. Man kann in der Gegend in 4 verschiedenen Lokalen Essen gehen und lokale Geschäfte besuchen. Subway ist direkt an der Ecke.
Das Zimmer war sauber, aber eher altmodisch gehalten. Badzimmer war tip top sauber und in Ordnung. Fenster waren bei Wind nicht ganz dicht, es zog ein wenig. Alles in allem okay, aber kein luxusklasse Hotel.

Convenient and Functional

Pros: Convenient
Cons: Could be upgraded. Elevator needs to be replaced with something that is faster and doesn't shudder when it stops.
Location: There were a few restaurants in the area and some convenience stores. We didn't visit the restaurants but the bagel place looked good.
We got to the hotel in the late morning as we'd come off a Red eye flight. The room was not ready but we were able to store our bags and get on our way. The hotel is a 1/2 block from the subway and very convenient. When we got back to the hotel that night, they'd sold out of rooms. We were put up at a sister hotel 5 blocks away and they wanted to leave us there but that hotel was 5 blocks from the subway. So we moved back the next morning. They paid for the taxi for both trips. Once we were back and settled in the Holiday Inn, we were happier. The breakfast was pretty good (oatmeal, cereal, fruit, toast, cinnamon buns (hot), and a variety of drinks). No waffles though, which disappointed my kids. The rooms were pretty small and a little aged but functional. We weren't in our rooms much anyway. The staff were nice and greeted me by name (I had raised quite a stink about the oversold rooms so they knew me!). On our last day, they called us a cab to get to LaGuardia. Be very careful about this. They called a limo and apparently it was a flat fee but the hotel didn't tell me and neither did the driver. He tried to get US$60 from me and it was at 6:30 am with no traffic. I told him no way and paid him $40 and walked away.

Silvester in NYC

Pros: gute Anbindung an U-Bahn/R, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal an der Rezeption und im Frühstücksbereich, gutes Frühstück; Preis- Leistung
Cons: Lift gehört erneuert bzw. bräuchte man einen 2. Lift, es kommt immer wieder zu langen Wartezeiten
Location: Das Hotel befindet sich in Brooklyn/ Union Street; nettes, ausgezeichnetes Restaurant Dinosaurier BBQ gleich gegenüber
Wir verbrachten 1 Woche über Silvester in NYC. Die Stadt war zu dieser Zeit sehr überfüllt, was zu langen Wartezeiten und In-der-Schlange-stehen bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten führte. Insgesamt hatten wir aber einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt!

Pros: The Location

Location: Close to transportation and resterants
The room was very comfortable I enjoyed my stay. I will recommend a friend to stay at this hotel.

Stingy Amenities

Only one towel in the bathroom; had to ask for a bath towel. Only one tiny bar of hand soap. No do not disturb sign. Loud music from Lobby played 24/7, and I had to ask every night for it to be turned down.

The little things matter

OK, maybe this isn't that little. Everything was fine except the wake-up call I requested never came. Instead of being woken up at 6:00am, leaving plenty of time to get to Penn Station and catch an 8:05am train, I woke up on my own at 7:05am. I still made it to the train with four minutes to spare, but would not be willing to take that chance a second time. Lesson learned!

Convenient hotel in Brooklyn

Pros: Convenience
Cons: Elevator is slow and crowded, especially with service staff, breakfast patrons and check-outs.
Location: Lots of good restaurants on Fifth Avenue, a block and a half away.
Hotel has a great location - only a block from the subway. Easy access to the highlights of Brooklyn and Manhattan. friendly staff, full breakfast, clean rooms.

Close to Barclay Center

We were put in a dark basement room... creepy! Other than that, decent location, friendly staff. Not a lot of rooms here so when booking, request any floor but the 1st (which is technically the basement!) Price was decent for the location. Stayed on a Monday night so a lot of restaurants weren't open but we were able to find a cozy place down the street.

Overnighter

Hotel was clean beds comfortable close to train station restaurants and stores my only complaint is my room was next to an ice making. Machine that made noise all night. Breakfast was excellent
