Excellent hotel in the middle of Manhattan

Posted Aug 20, 2016
Pros: Friendly staff. Convenient location. Reasonable price. Well-performing wi-fi. Variety of free breakfast.
Cons: The desk is close to air-conditioner, and the wind blows directly on me when I sit at the desk and the wind direction cannot adjust when it gets cold.
Location: Btw 5 and 6 avenue on 45 street. Nearby: Central Park, Madison Avenue, 5 Avenue, Empire State Building, etc.
I arrived the hotel in the evening. Took the subway to grand central/42 street and walked 5 mins to the hotel. Check-in is easy and fast. The location of the hotel is perfect. Between 5th and 6th avenue on 45th street, it is close (within walking distance) to so many famous attractions of New York: Empire State Building, Madison Avenue, Time Square, Central Park and the Museum Mile on the east of the Central Park (where the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the City Museum of New York, and so many more). I'd say the location is the best selling point. Besides location, the hotel room is cozy for me, albeit small. The price is acceptable. By the way, the hotel is across the street of Xi'an Famous Food, where the best northwest Chinese food in New York is served: cumin lamb burger and spicy Lian Pi cold skin noodles, which are my favorite, etc. I didn't know this before, so it is really a pleasant surprise for me when I find out the restaurant is right across the street of the hotel. In fact, the hotel is surrounded by restaurants of Chinese food, English food, Mediterranean food, and food from other cultures, so dining is super easy and you have so many choices to choose from. Last but not least, wi-fi is fast too. Overall, it is really an outstandingly satisfactory experience staying at this hotel.

Holiday INN was highly discomfort

Posted Aug 17, 2016
Pros: Staff was helpful and 24 hr service for tea/coffee. Also, Location was advantage
Cons: Room size and Food space.
Room size was terriably small. Not at all good for family. You can't walk easily in your room. Breakfast area was extremely small and same breakfast menu. It was tough to enjoy food and stay in such discomfort zone. I paid room much for this accommodation, which is not worth at all.

Centrado, cerca de time square y fifth avenue

Posted Aug 12, 2016
Las habitaciones demasiado ruido se oye en los pasillos, las habitaciones son pequeñas, el aire acondicionado da en la cara, no se puede bajar las rejillas. La atencion es buena, el desayuno esta normal, y esta centrado en buena ubicacion,

Midtown NYC

Posted Aug 10, 2016
Pros: The location was convenient, the inside was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: There was a big cabinet where I'd have rather have had a fridge. Should have a more reasonable rate for parking.
Location: Bring walking shoes and cash. Many places do not accept credit cards. Very nice Chinese restaurant (Hung Yip?)right next to the hotel was delicious!
This was our first trip to NYC and were unprepared for the high price of parking. The hotel parking is around the block and VERY expensive, even though it is affiliated with the hotel. Three nights and we were charged $150.00. My son after we had already parked our car advised me that I could have researched for deals and found much less expensive parking in the area. The hotel room was also small, but we expected that for the location. Despite the size it was comfy. It was generally very clean and quiet, although we did hear people talking and slamming doors in the hall. Fortunately not many people stayed on our floor. The floors are so small there aren't many rooms per floor. We heard very little in the way of street noise. No fridge was in the room and we had brought things to store in a fridge. The breakfast buffet and coffee was very good and what you'd expect at a Holiday Inn Express. The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived early and they allowed us to check our bags while we went to park our car and roam around the city. Location is very convenient to Grand Central Station, the NYPL, Central Park and many other landmarks. Discovered that NYC businesses throw out bags of trash for pickup right on sidewalks. Smells horrible and is very unsanitary. This was everywhere we went while there including right next to the entrance to the hotel.

Super gelegen. 7 Min Fußweg bis Times Square

Posted Aug 7, 2016
Ordentliches Hotel. Frühstück ist okay aber weit weg von sensationell. Sonst okay. 21 Stockwerke zu je 4 Zimmern.

Basement room with very little space

Posted Aug 2, 2016
Pros: The business center computers worked well, but they weren't really in a business center, they were in the hall outside our room. WiFi worked well.
Cons: Truth in advertising about room size and about the fact that the room is in the basement is a bare minimum requirement.
Location: Hotel is well located halfway between Grand Central Terminal and Times Square.
We were put in a basement room that was very small. Our son was going to stay with us a couple nights during our stay, but that was just not possible because there was no way to fit a roll-away in that room. The size of the room did not at all match the picture of the room shown on Expedia when I made the booking. Also, when we checked in the elevator was broken, so we had to take a back stairwell through the maintenance department to access the room. Employees congregated outside our room every morning at around 7:30 am talking loudly and laughing, which woke us up every day.
