#BlueSky My now go-to place for some treats. In Brooklyn! It's like stepping into that soda fountain era. Find out why some staff are called Jerks. Lol. Dilapidated gear Peeking into the Japanese garden Camperdown Elm traces its roots back to Scotland, where a branch from a mutated scots elm was grafted onto another scots elm with low branches.
Prospect Park's camperdown elm was planted in 1872 and was saved after years of neglect in 1967 when Marianne Moore wrote about it in a poem, Caught this Tribute in Light for the World Trade Center towers from the Staten Island Ferry. It was a mostly cloudy night and you can see the beams going through one set of clouds and reflecting brightly off the higher clouds. Ina clear night the beams can travel up to 4 miles. 😁 There's one at each end of the bridge! I have no idea wht it is or wht it does! Stacks of repurposed sea containers become shops and food markets in this urban village. An autumn afternoon Good burger, Zagat approved, but not my best burger. Entrance to Green-Wood cemetery A view of lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge from a gorgeous park on the waterfront in Brooklyn. One of my favorite bars in Brooklyn. Interesting people, great selections, amazing outdoor area and $3.00 Happy Hour Specials. I can't wait to go back.

Brooklyn, NY. Castle William at Governors Island-just a shirt ferry ride from lower Manhattan The best view of Lower Manhattan is from the Ikea ferry. #lifeatexpedia The famous chrismas Decoration Nice to know you no longer have to cross the bridge to find insanely good Italian fare; Park Slope, Brooklyn amico mio! These are my favorite discoveries: Carpaccio, cavelo nero ( black cabbage) salad, malfati with brown butter/ sage, crispy duck, braised rabbit. this is small scale, incredibly quaint and romantic at its best. Every neighborhood needs one! Salute! Happy new year fellow trovers! Over 13 and onto 14! #cheers Great little, incredibly well stocked market at 6th/Union in Park Slope, Brooklyn. High end groceries, meats, produce as well as beautiful and artfully crafted prepared foods (don't walk in hungry!). Really cool spot. If you are a lover of all things brewski, this place is going to be tough to beat. Craft locals sold in your own (or their rented) take home growler, a cold bottle selection to die for, small plate nibbles, and a really cool local vibe, this place is really cool. Skol! Delicious $12 lunch of asparagus soup w/ crispy shallots, parma/ buffalo mozzarella/ watercress panini & green salad (all 1/2 portions). Broccoli rabe side, crusty bread and service were all very good too. Waiter even came out to the sidewalk to point us to the subway. Brooklyn Botanic Garden during their Cherry Blossom Festival, when in full bloom, it gets pretty crowded Best ice cream in Brooklyn!

Hammock Grove on Governors Island is the perfect spot to soak up the sun The Cranford Rose Garden is in bloom all summer long From 2011: it's always a good day in my city that ends with some view of the Statue of Liberty at dusk... The skyline
June 2015 View from the Staten Island ferry Notice the Oldsmobile sign on the side of the building, company shut down by GM in 2004, the sign is clearly way older than that. Statue of Liberty Strolling across the iconic bridge on a beautiful spring day is something not to be missed. Tip: walk from the Brooklyn side toward Manhattan so you can enjoy the view of the city as you walk toward it. #architecture There are cool bars, and then there are unusually cool bars. Union Hall is one of them. Full bar, great bottled and draft (some local) brew, in an incredibly cool library like setting, with a bocce ball (pictured) court to boot; say what?! No run of the mill pinball, here. Very cool, indeed. The new Nets Arena Lower manhattan still shines ! Even on the greyest of days this city is amazingly beautiful .. I love my home Celebrate West Indian Carnival at the Labor Day Parade, Brooklyn. It is really cool to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. We took the subway to Brooklyn and walked back.
