Had a great stay after initially getting a room that was incredibly tiny and didn't have a closet and no room to even open my suitcase...They upgraded me to a great room after I complained and I was very grateful. They also say they have laundry facilities on site but they don't- you can send clothes out to be dry-cleaned but they don't have laundry onsite. There are 2 fold and wash places close by - cost about $15 to get a load done. The vouchers for breakfast are great and the bakery is really good and well organized and friendly. Using the vouchers are the restaurant was an ordeal- and also the restaurant doesn't have accurate hours/ kitchen hours posted either. Despite that, the staff are great and super helpful and the location is really great.

Hotel Belleclaire was the perfect place for our NYC trip. We were showing the city to our kids, 7 and 9, and this was one of the few properties with a family room setup. We originally booked a suite/parlor, but upon arrival, they surprised us with an upgrade to a proper two-room accommodation. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and appointed with simple elegance. They vouchers they provided allowed us to have a delicious breakfast at their onsite French bakery, Mille-Feuille, every day before setting off. The hotel is situated 3 blocks from Central Park and the Natural History Museum, and is only 2 blocks from a subway station. I look forward to staying here again and would recommend it to anyone, but especially those traveling with children that you don’t want to sleep in the same room with during vacation!

Gotta be the best apartment building-turned-hotel out there. Hallways and elevators are a little tight but the rooms are nice, particularly the suite we stayed in. Walkable to a bunch of theaters (including the Beacon) and better than good restaurants.

Feels like home, Belleclaire hotel. Fun to start the day w/Central Park run and after yoghurt, coffee, croissants and financiers from Mille Feuille bakery below our rooms. No bath tub this time so I didn’t buy bathbombs from Lush, also below. Quiet rooms thanks to quiet guests because all sounds from hallway are heard. Lovely stay with high sleep quality, comfortable bed, great soaps/conditioner/body wash, a/c and heat control. Nice to get bottle of wine in the room and electric tea kettle. Thank you Belleclaire!

The rate included a free bottle of wine. When we checked in that they ran out of wine. New York has no wine... you can buy at least 3 places next door. Obviously, it was false advertising and sales practice. Find a more honest place.

My family and I stayed for 4 nights 5 days and it was a nightmare. The staff is rude, unpleasant and aggressive. They state it’s non smoking but when on my first day the second floor smelled full of weed and our room smelled and so did our clothes they stated that’s normal now days and refused to address the issue. They were rude to my family and I and I felt attacked

Beautiful, quaint property. Nice size room and bathroom for NY City. Clean. Our room had a great view of Broadway. Secure. We would have liked written instructions in room on how to obtain internet access. We had 3 individuals and each day we had 3 towels, but we had to ask for a 3rd wash cloth. Unfortunate, consistent cigarette smoke smell in the hall- unclear where coming from, but suspect staff closet area. BUT fortunately did not seep into room. We would return.

Our room (#521) smelled like a combination of moth balls and sewage. We requested a new room and the receptionist said, “no.” Instead they told us that they would bring up an air machine and spray the room while we were out. My step-son went back to the receptionist after being in the smelly room for a few minutes and managed to get us a new room. The new room was very quiet, comfortable and did not smell.

Amazing hotel!! At check-in, the front desk gave us a complimentary small bottle of cab & a box of macarons from their in-house bakery!! What?! We asked for a slightly later check-out & they were more than accommodating. Wonderful place, even more wonderful staff- we will be back!! ❤️❤️❤️

We had a great five night stay at Hotel Belleclaire. The staff were friendly and helpful and the accommodations were comfortable. We loved having the coupons for the bakery next door and spoiled ourselves with croissants for days. A convenient location and lots of great restaurants and shopping nearby. Would definitely stay again!
