Great Hotel. Will book it every time!

Pros: Location, location, location. What surprised me was how nice the rooms were. And the price was very reasonable.
Cons: I really can't think of anything we didn't like about the hotel.
Location: Things we walked to: Madison Sq. Garden, 4 Broadway Shows, Central Park, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center, Subway
We stayed six nights, and it was our first trip to New York. At least once a day, my wife said, "Have I told you how much I love our hotel and the location?" The room wasn't the biggest, but it's NYC and it's big enough. I was surprised that ours had a king-sized bed. I expected a queen. Two of the Broadway shows we saw ended up being on our block, and there was a great Italian restaurant right there on the block too. There's also a little market about two doors down towards Broadway that's like a convenience store with a buffet in the back and tables for sitting and eating upstairs. It was great for those times we just needed some food, but didn't want to spend the time and energy to find a restaurant. The rooms have been updated and were very nice. The staff was always friendly, including the housekeepers. It was just a great all-around experience.

Close to Times Square, but not updated.

This hotel is in the perfect location, only half a block to Times Square. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are not updated as they are shown in pictures. They advertise updated rooms and that was definitely not the case. Room was very old. Cracked ceilings. Patch jobs. SMALL room & bathroom. Also, we had to use the air condition one night, & it kept blowing the fuse. So apparently the rooms are not electrically wired to handle the air conditioner.

A Great Value in a Great Location

Pros: The location, the incremental improvements and updates, and the friendly, helpful staff, from the front desk to housekeeping and security.
Cons: Re-open the restaurant—or at least make it easy to order food from local restaurants!
Location: It's Times Square—theatre, dining, drinking, dancing, and almost anything else you could want to see or do! :-)
We've stayed here several times before, and are excited to see changes that seem to be actual improvements. Highlights include upgrades to rooms and infrastructure (elevators, the Fitness Center), and free WiFi options. Still no replacement for the long-closed on-site restaurant, but in-room Keurig coffeemakers and complimentary coffee daily help. And of course, you can't beat the location. The hotel's "Members Only" program offers significant rate discounts and additional perks, helping to make the Edison a great value in the heart of New York City's Times Square.

Great place--the location is ideal.

Pros: Location, staff and safety
Cons: the fixtures are old and need remodeled
Location: It's in the center of the action at Time Square.
It was 4 days of shows and dining. Had visited all the sites years ago, so just wanted to enjoy Broadway.

Good location and worth the price

Very convinient location.. 3 mins to Times Square, near Broadway shows, halal food cart just around the corner and nice restaurant nearby. Room was cleaned and quiet. Good stay for 5 days in New York..

Pros: LOCATION
Location: BROADWAY THEATERS
THIS WAS OUR FOURTH TIME IN THIS HOTEL. THINGS HAVE CHANGED FOR THE WORST. RESTAURANTS ARE CLOSED. BATHROOM AND ROOM IS NOT UPDATED, STAFF NOT AS FRIENDLY AS BEFORE. WAITING ON LINE 35 MINUTES FOR CHECK-IN. NO COMING BACK..!!!!

Great Location - Excellent staff at this hotel

This was a family trip to see Broadway shows - the hotel is located right in the heart of Broadway. The staff was very helpful for first time New York visitors. We will definitely stay in this hotel again on our next trip to New York.

You are in the heart of Times Square. Rooms are large for NYC standards. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

We stayed here for 6 night from the advert of this hotel is different to when u get there didn't get Queen size bed the enamel was coming off the bath and rusty around the plug no so got a different room and that was the same couldn't go on roof and have a sit down and look at view no restaurant cos that was having work done and was never told so had to find places to eat witch cost us more money will never stay there again
