From CC issues caused by hotel I did not have the all around great stay I thought. The room was clean with amenities, but it looked old and worn

The great thing about this hotel was the staff and the location to Time Square.

Close to Times Square

Pros: Location
Location: Close to time square and Broadway
Location was great. Staff were curtious. Clean room. Good bed. However no dressers. Very small bathroom, no vanity just a pedestal sink. Only one person could be in the bathroom at a time. Furniture in the lobby was very old and uncomfortable to sit on. Unfortunately there is no restaurant in the hotel.

A quelques mètres de Time square!

Pros: L'emplacement
Cons: salles de bain ?
Location: A pied, central park, empire state building, pier 83 (pour l’accès au circle line), 5 e avenue. Tout est accessible par le métro.
Check in un peu long, mais la chambre était prête à 12h30 :). Nous avons aimé être au 4 e étage parce que nous avons évité l'attente des ascenseurs en utilisant les marches d'escaliers. Il est à noter que l'attente des ascenseurs est quand même de courte durée. Il y a toujours quelqu’un poster dans le hall qui répond à toutes nos questions. Le bain a été bloqué. J'ai avisé de la situation et dans l'heure qui a suivie, le problème était réglé. La salle de bain date de ???? Le bain ne possède plus d'émail mais bon... Les serviettes et la literie était très bien. Nous aurions aimé avoir un frigo mais cet hôtel n'offre pas ce service. Donc si cela est une commodité indispensable pour vous, amenez votre glacière. Il y a de la glace disponible sur l"étage.

Great Location for Times Square and Theatres

Pros: Location was central to things to do around Times Square and theatres
Cons: My only issues were 2 of the 6 elevators were shut down for repairs and became an issue around peak times of check in/out.
Location: Times Square and easy waking distance to all the theatres and dinner locations. Great food at Glass house Tavern a few doors down.
This hotel met all our expectations as it was our first trip to NYC. You are in a central location to Times Square and all the major theatres for the rate we paid. The room (king bed) had enough room for us and found it very comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful for recommendations on eating and how to get around the City via subway and other major attractions. It lacks all the glamor of the other major hotels, in my opinion, however it was perfect for being centrally located at a reasonable rate that won't break your pocket book. Room size was expected as an older hotel in downtown and the bathroom was clean of a decent size. They could have better night blackout shades as you get some of the light pollution from Times Square down the street. I've heard complaints of noise from streets but our AC unit was a little on the noisy side that drowned that out and didn't bother me since it was like white noise to me for sleeping.

Close to Times Square, Broadway

Pros: Clean, they also have a shuttle (min. fee) to get you to the airport.
Location: Very close to Times Square, Broadway.
We were not in the hotel a lot, daughter was there interviewing.

don't stay here if you need reliable and fast connectivity for work. expensive and kept dropping out. shame on you hotel Edison.

Perfect location if you love theatre!

Pros: Its greatest appeal is a perfect location.
Cons: The rooms could be upgraded.
Location: As mentioned above, I love the location of this hotel because you can walk to almost any theatre in the district in less than 15 minutes.
I've stayed here several times. It's not fancy, but very comfortable and convenient to the Theater District. The style is old art deco, the rooms are simple, the staff is accommodating, and the price is right. Music happens in the lobby and steps from the lobby are countless restaurants to suit your needs at a range of costs. If you're looking for an affordable New York Theatre experience, this is a place you should consider!

Right in the theater district of Times Sqaure

Pros: The location and it was reasonably priced for the location.
Cons: The hot hallways, smell in the room and elevator process.
Location: Close to the Hop on Hop off bus, plenty of restaurants, Subway, shopping and all the theaters.
This hotel's location can't be beat. It is a bit noisy but then I expected it due to the location. The walls seem thin and I could hear everyone around me although I didn't spend much time in my room. Upon arrival is was easy check in, had a little wait for the elevators. If you used the bell desk the skipped in front of those waiting for the elevators. I'm not sure why they didn't get in line like everyone else. It was frustrating. I got to my room and was missing any toilet paper. I tracked down a cleaning cart in the hallway to get it myself. The halls are warm. Arriving in my room in the evening it smelled like a dirty kitty litter box. The bathrooms were nice, clean and modern. I liked to leave my Do Not Disturb sign on when I'm traveling alone. However, this hotel does not respect your privacy and they entered my room anyway. I talked with the management staff and they apologized but really did nothing else to satisfy my comfort level and trust. When I wrote the review they thanked me for my feedback and said it helps future guests. What about this guest? They don't have a restaurant that serves breakfast but there are plenty of options close. They arrange for a shuttle service to the airport for a fee but the convenience is still nice.
