midtown hotel

Pros: Good beds and spacious shower Friendly staff
Location: Central location for walking to different tourist spots, also close to subways
The location of this hotel is excellent for visiting all areas of Manhattan. Hotel staff were helpful and our room was comfortable and clean.

Great location for exploring the city. The room had everything needed and spotless every time you come back to it. Super helpful staff! Great all rounder!

The rooms are very nice. They are struggling with a shower problem in that the design leaks. They know about this but didn't warn us or give us extra towels to put down. Also when we called to ask where to pro and they told us they could have mentioned that the road was blocked off for Pride Parade and we would have to ask the police to let us through. So we just parked further seats and hiked in. Just a couple of things that management could tell staff to deal with. Fantastic food within a few steps of the hotel. We never ate more than a block and a half away and didn't get to try it all. I will definitely be back though if the price is right. Watch the resort price a lot of them add to make the night rate look cheaper.

Good convenient location

Pros: Good location, fair clean rooms, spacious.
The hotel is in a good location depending on where you want to go. We stayed for 1 week however had a very unpleasant experience on one of the days. We had the DND (Do Not Disturb) sign on our door and yet 1 of the housekeeping staff went into the room and made it up and took cash that I left on my table (they later claimed they thought it was a tip). When I contacted management and they enquired with the housekeeping staff member, they said apparently another guest told them to clean my room. Very disappointing and poor excuse in my eyes. If the sign is on the door, you should not enter under any circumstance. Management gave me the money taken back. Another staff member offered to refund me 1 nights stay. If the incident didn't happen then I would of stayed there again but I no longer trust them.

Tiny, Dark rooms

The room was so dark and small that it felt like a jail cell. The ugly red curtain didn't help the ambiance either.

Cons: Really want coffee - only 1 per day was not enough
It was good. I don't want to add more - leave me alone. I will do your survery but don't want to do a test.

Noisy hotel Tiny rooms Unclean and untidy hallway

Had to get a room change on arrival Was unpleasantly surprised how dirty the halls were and some strong acetone smell. Tiny lobby. Overall I think the pictures in their marketing is good to suck you in but the hotel is a major disappointment and too expensive for what you get. You can get much better for the money

Nearly a great hotel, still good enough though.

Great location. Friendly staff, nice bar, they tried hard with the decor, although lighting is a little too low, even on the sunniest of days. Rooms are clean and pretty spacious for NY. I will definitely stay there again. A few small issues we experienced - - Wifi cycles and is very low bandwidth. Sometimes Netflix can't be watched due to buffering. - Wifi has to be constantly logged in to. - The black carpetted hallways always look like they need vacuuming. - Had a few minor dramas with cleaning "uniqueness's" dirty towels left on the floor put back on the rails, dirty as in, I cleaned my trainers with one, not dirty like I used it once. And a few days were we were either coffeeless or only given decaf. - One morning one of the elevators was out, but there was no notice to let us know so after waiting 10 minutes we walked down the 12 flights of stairs. Not sure the 2 elevators will be able to accommodate the guests and the roof-top bar once it is open? Still enjoyed the stay and the hotel is a decent size for a couple to stay in for the 10 days we were there.
