Small room. Everything within walking distance. Modern amenities. Nice lobby restaraunt. Friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful staff. Only con was a small room but for the price, couldn't beat it. Safe area.

Good location but

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: Staff friendly and welcoming
Cons: Safe did not work. Television remote control in need of new batteries or other as did not always work
Location: Get metro to Brooklyn bridge bride or have a nice walk around Brooklyn heights
The hotel is surrounded by construction work on all sides. So beware the early morning construction noise.

Indigo Hotel

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness and décor of rooms, as well as quietness inside the room on the seventh floor.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
Location: Very convenient location in downtown Brooklyn. There is a grill and bar on the 1st floor adjacent to the lobby for relaxing at the end of the day.
Very convenient location in downtown Brooklyn, with easy access to two subway lines. Room was somewhat small, but very well furnished and clean. Staff were exceptional in terms of willingness and ability to help visitors. Will gladly stay here again and invite friends to do the same.

Pros: Good location. near subway stations.
Cons: I would like to get a discount for parking if possible.
Location: Good access to manhattan
The staff of this hotel is kind. I asked her many questions and she answered them with smile. Moreover, the answer helped me a lot. I use this hotel again if I have a chance to visit brooklyn.

They screwed up my reservation

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Location, Front desk staff, Don't overbook the rooms, courtesy, organization.
Location: Location is poor, pan-handlers, cell phone stores & mini-marts. No decent places to eat unless you walk, not recommened by the police officer we met.
Made reservations approximately 7 weeks in advance, got there and was told curtly by the woman at the front desk that the only room they had left was a single, not what we reserved. Probably overbooked the place. They made no effort to find an alternate, did not apologize and told us we could take that room or be refunded our payment. How many rooms do you think are available at 4:00 pm Saturday evening in Brooklyn? Answer = none. We took the room, got to our floor and had to make our way through the hall filled with Room Service carts, bath towels in piles on the floor and laundry carts. What a poorly managed organization and unfriendly staff. The neighborhood is pretty seedy too, do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel at all costs.

Great staff, tiny Europeanesque rooms

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: The superb staff!!
Cons: Better functionality/layout of the oh, too tiny rooms!
Location: Fantastic downtown Brooklyn destination! Too much to do!!
For $350, I was not expecting the Taj Mahal, and the photos were exquisitely pleasing. However...I was quite disappointed at the rather small scale of the halls to maneuver luggage, and the rooms and bathrooms. My husband and I stayed in the room together and it felt as though it would have been cramped for one person, let alone two. Thank goodness we were there only one night and did not spend time in the room. The bed has two drawers of storage built in at the foot, there is a closet approx 30" wide with a pocket door. This closet serves as space for your refrigerator, the room safe sits on top of the refrigerator, storage for your table top iron board (no table to set it on to iron though), your iron, and a bracket that holds 5 shirts or suit coats horizontally. I bruised my shin on the base of the bed walking around the bed to get into it. Either I was to hit the bed or the wall...take your pick. With the bathroom door open, one cannot access the sink. To shut the bathroom door, you must shimmy around the toilet. Only then can you get to the sink. Once you're at the sink, you cannot open the door to get out of the bathroom without shimmying once again. Definitely NOT comfortable, and very awkward. I've stayed in small rooms in London which were better thought out, laid out, and well planned. These are not. However, if you would like the European experience, I can only say the most excellent and wonderful things about the superb staff! Terrific people!

Good hotel for the location

Posted Jun 18, 2015
Stayed here to be near a conference venue. The hotel is in a good location near subways. For the price, it's pretty good for New York. I asked for, and was given a room on a top floor, which was definitely worth it to be away from street noise, and for the views. The room is pretty small, but fine for just me - it would be tight for a couple. The only other issue was dust in the room - it needed a bit of attention. The bathroom was great, as was the coffee maker. The staff were all very helpful. I had a breakfast and evening meal in the bar downstairs. The food was fine, but a bit over-priced. I ended up having breakfast at the Starbucks in the Hilton across the road, but glad I stayed here rather than the Hilton for the price.
