Great locationPosted Sep 1, 2015
This hotel is in a great location and is a fine place to stay in NYC. The hotel is clean but rooms could do with some TLC. We've stayed here before and we knew what we were getting for the price. The hotel was the perfect as although the rooms need TLC we were out all day and as it was clean we had no problems with the fact it needed a lick of paint in a few places. The free breakfast was also a bonus with booking through Expedia.

Overall commentsPosted Sep 1, 2015
Cons: a lot need be improved, anyone , human walk into the room, you can see too many things need be improved.
Location: As I said, the only thing is the location that is good.
Overall comments on this stay is really bad. 1) the room was very dirty, especially the floor carpet; 2) the bed was broken, just sat on it, wobbling; ceiling had paints and something peeling off and hanging there right above the toilet bowel, afraid of falling down. I took pictures and showed to the front desk, they changed a room for us, the other room was a little cleaner, but no table, no chair, not like a hotel room. it is too old, almost everything is falling apart and rusty. the only thing is the location that is very good.

Don't stay here!!!!Posted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: just the location
Cons: everything needs improving stinking dirty place.
good base to explore New York but this hotel is stinking and needs a lot of work carried out to the rooms first impression when I walked into the hotel looks lovely until we got to our room first room we was put it in sink was hanging off the wall and toilet wouldn't flush carpets stinking with black stains, we was put in another room which wasn't much better we had to put our tops on the pillowcases to sleep couldn't unpack and couldn't walk bear foot around the room, we had to go and buy are own towels to showers. this hotel is in need of a lot of work.

Pros: The location
Cons: Almost everything
Location: Penn Station
Small rooms, old carpet, old linens, and basically the hotel smells old.

Perfekte LagePosted Aug 30, 2015
Haben 5 Tage hier übernachtet. Perfekte Lage. Mitten im Geschehen. Klar viel Trubel aber das ist man in New York ja gewohnt

Well placed hotel but very bare minimum roomPosted Aug 29, 2015
Very few people working at check in desk so therefore had to queue for 2 hours after a 7 hour flight. Happy with ice vending machine but our room was without a bucket and when asked for one we were told one would be sent straight up immediately but it never arrived.

Ghastly hotel in great locationPosted Aug 29, 2015
This giant hotel was clearly once quite grand but is now truly terrible - I think it must be waiting to be gutted and completely refurbished. In the meantime it is best avoided.

Great location, outdated roomsPosted Aug 29, 2015
Great location near Penn Station, Times Square, but the rooms are in desperate need of updating. Outdated carpet, uncomfortable bed, bathrooms desperately need to be updated. Mildew on ceiling in bathroom. Friendly staff. Breakfast room was too small, not enough tables/seating.

DO NOT STAY HEREPosted Aug 28, 2015
This was quite possibly the worst hotel I have ever seen. Booked a superior room for 3. First room given only had 2 single beds. Bathroom was disgusting. Second room had 2 double beds but toilet was blocked and ceiling falling down. Bathroom slightly better, not much. Third room was no better. Reception staff not overly helpful. Elevators looked like the Tower if Terrir ride at Disney. Decided to move hotel to a great place a couple of blocks awAy. Checked out of hotel penn the next morning. Reception staff seemed quite angry. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I think even the homeless people on the streets were in more luxury. Shocking hotel.

Pros: Nothing really , except the location.
Cons: They could provide free breakfast on a morning. They make enough money.
Bathroom was too small. Internet reception was horrible. I could not even use my laptop.
