The hotel and the staff was great, but I was expecting to have some view to central park but was disappointed !

Excellent for shopping and Central Park walksPosted Aug 8, 2015
The friendly staff was always accommodating ready to answer questions from giving directions to great eating spots near by. Their professionalism from the front door to desk to the GM, was truly a wonderful experience.

ExceptionalPosted Jul 16, 2015
I just returned from a 6 night stay with my two kids (11 and 7) at the Plaza Athenée in NYC. This hotel was amazing. The location couldn't be beat (loved that is was close to everything, but tugged away on a beautiful residential block), the room was beautiful, and the staff could not have been nicer. Everyone from the super nice lady that checked us in (even gave my two kids little gifts) whose name I wish I remembered right now, to the always friendly and helpful doormen, to the outstanding concierges. The chief concierge especially (although all three I had comtact with were great), Rick Cook, went above and beyond his job with competency but also thoughtfulness. He took care of me even before I checked in, making reservations for us, and most impresively, emailing me when the hotel received important mail addressed to my husband whose name wasn't on the reservation, because he recognized my the last name. In all, a wonderful experience at the Plaza Athenée. I'm definitely hoping to return next year.

Fabulous boutique hotelPosted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: High Quality in all respects
Cons: Like it just as it is
Location: best location in the city for shopping, Museums, arts, dining and all around quality NY lifestyle
Wonderful small hotel located in the best part of the city. Excellent staff and quality features, rooms are comfortable and elegantly appointed. The location is fantastic for shopping and fine dining. Transportation is readily available including public transport. Very close to Central Park and a short cab ride to museums and Lincoln Center. A wonderful hotel and our only choice for every trip we make to Manhatten. First rate all around.

Camera rumorosa con aria condizionata di vecchissimo tipo pulizia discutibile servizio in camera qualita modesta per la levatura dell 'albergo che vuole avere. Non c' rapporto tra prezzo è qualità complessiva offerta c'è di meglio

Pros: Location, staff
Cons: Restaurant prices should be more reasonable

Great, welcoming staff. Perfect location. Steps away from Madison Avenue but on a quiet street. A block away from Central Park

Not a 5 Star HotelPosted Jun 22, 2015
Cons: Total renovation
Location: Great location. close to shops on Madison Ave.
Rooms were not ready at 3:45pm on Check-in day. No Expedia +VIP room upgrade. We have 2 rooms. 1 room has a nice bathroom and the other has an old (1980's) bathroom with cracks on marble floor. Overall hotel is old and in need of renovation. Based solely on condition and appearance of hotel, its at BEST a 4 star facility. Staff were generally very polite and service was very good.

Wow!!!Posted Jun 20, 2015
Location: Block and a half from Central Park and the Zoo.
The hotel staff was extremely attentive to our family. The Concierge's and entire staff were extremely helpful and attentive to all our needs. It was the first time the family had been to New York so they were very good at guiding us to places to eat and how to get places (especially at busier times). Great experience. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Nice hotel at a fair price for NY. Staff was great. The interior was a little dated, but not bad.

Small hotel with great location.Posted Jun 9, 2015
Very friendly and professional service. Upgraded us to smoking room after confirmation from Expedia for a smoking room was not communicated to hotel. Tired decor and very antiquated bathroom.
