Convenient for one night stayPosted Aug 27, 2015
Good room, comfortable and large space - got the 410 square feet room. The surroundings were quite loud and the fire department kept ringing but other than that, was a nice room

Manhattan Hotel: Fantastic Staff in Great LocationPosted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: The Staff was fabulous. The room was very spacious. A 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath suite had ample space for our family with 2 large closets and a kitchen
Cons: From the South we love ample AC. Record heat in NYC seemed too much for one of our AC's to handle, but the other ac carried the load just fine.
Location: Very near Times Square & Fashion District, walk to Chelsea. Subway entrance near, and Zoilo can hail a cab quickly. Friedman's Cafe is awesome!
We traveled to NYC for college visits and found this hotel to be centrally located with a great rate for a one bedroom suite for us and our two teenagers. The highlights of this hotel for us was the spaciousness of the room, but mostly, "The Staff". Zoilo, the doorman, was warm and welcoming and always attentive to everyone's needs. We felt we were seeing a good friend every time we returned to, or left the hotel. Matthew attended to our bags upon arrival and what a sweet guy he is. He always offered a smile and hello when we ran into him. Lily, Elvira, and several others were VERY helpful at the front desk. They immediately offered a roll away bed to allow my daughter and son their own space. They gave great recommendations for restaurants and were available for any questions or issues that arose.

I always enjoy at AlfiniaPosted Aug 22, 2015
Pros: Location, rooms, settings
Cons: nothing i can thing of
Location: just out of train station
I always prefer trains on taxis in large cities. I like the hectic feeling the punctuation and obviously the cost. I tend to take hotels in NY, Tokyo and London that are just out of train stations. I rather pay more for hotel than taxis However many of these hotels and many of the train station environments are more noisy and tedious and it is harder to find a high level hotels near station and Alfinia is an example of location and fancy.

Great locationPosted Aug 16, 2015
It was close to Time Square about 6-7 minute walk so far enough away from the noise at night yet on the edge of all amenities train station, bus station etc. Every thing we wanted was within walking distance. The only disappointment with the hotel was wifi - they were charging $14.99 daily which was ridiculous! Also they had laptops in the lobby so you could check into your return flights but charged almost $12 for approximately 3 minutes of use - very disappointed by this - otherwise hotel was brilliant!

Not a great three days in New York.....Posted Aug 16, 2015
This was a disappointing stay in New York. Check-in and the room we were initially assigned were absolutely fine except that when we tried to go out we could not get out of the room because the door handle was broken. Despite repeated reassurance that someone was on their way to let us out, it over 30 minutes before anyone came to rescue us. We were then moved to another room which was not nearly as nice and were then moved again to a third room the following day which was also not as nice as the first room - very noisy and terrible beds. While the staff were all very nice and apologetic, no one really cared and there was no real effort to make the situation better other than giving us complimentary Wi-Fi. I spent a remarkably long time queuing to talk to the front desk and despite repeated assurance that the duty manager would call me, the manager made no effort to do so. On check out I discovered that I could have saved myself $60 if I had parked my car myself, an option not offered when I checked in. Overall, pretty disappointing.
