Family 6 night stay

Posted Jan 10, 2017
From the moment I stepped into the old world style lobby I was greeted by the lovely Peter at the front desk who made my day a whole lot better after a long bus ride from DC. There was some construction going at the time on the hotel which some of the higher rooms that were available were facing so he put us on level 11 that faced Broadway/W 32nd Street (anyone that says the traffic noise is so bad..must come from a really quiet neighborhood!) It was hardly a nuisance the only loudness came from sirens and all you have to do is wear ear plugs and you wont get woken till your alarm in the morning! If you like to walk then this is the perfect hotel for you! You can easily take a 7-10min stroll up broadway and be in Times Square or walk up 2 blocks and be at the Empire state building! Not to mention the metro being right out front and a pharmacy just round the corner! Did i forget to mention a H&M and Macy's are 1 block away! I stayed there with my parents and we did all have quite large suitcases but if you set them up properly you still have enough room (all you'll be doing is sleeping in the room then exploring most of the day so who needs so much room!) The room was slightly outdated but when you read up on the history of the hotel you feel like you're a part of its history and wouldnt really want to see the rooms get changed that much! Will definitely stay here again next time I come to NYC!!

In the Middle of Manhattan

Posted Dec 21, 2016 on Hotels
I stayed 4 nights with my 9 year old daughter. The location is amazing in the middle of Midtown. The staff was very accommodating. The room was spacious (for New York), updated, clean, and comfortable. We would stay here again.

Not worth the price.

Small bed, small room, dated bathroom. When opening the bathroom door it hits the toilet. Sound of something rolling on the floor above our room.
