Since I had pre-registered, registration went smoothly. The best things I can say about the room was that it was clean and had a dramatic view. Outside of that it was new and modern and designed by a design school dropout who apparently never had stayed in a hotel room. There was no drawer space and minimal hanger space and you are forced to live out of your suitcase. There is no place really to put your suitcase, so it ends up on the one small table in the room. The bathroom sink had almost no counter space so setting out your toiletries is difficult especially if there are more than one of you. The mirror is small and poorly lit. If your hands are wet, it is almost impossible to open the door to the toilet with the little pull knob provided. The restaurant is quite good, but very pricey. Dining options off the property are very limited, especially for western style food. Wi-Fi is not free! It is $12.95 for basic service. Something I have not seen anywhere else. There is no Business Center. Something else I have not seen anywhere else. I had to have something printed out and I had to email it to the front desk for printing. In this day and age that is insane. I have stayed at other Renaissance properties elsewhere, and they were nowhere like this. If you have to stay in central Queens near LGA, do yourself a big favor and go elsewhere.
