Short Break for Wife Birthday

Posted Jan 13, 2017
Pros: Central location and clean and tidy
Cons: Reception area very small
Location: Central to all attractions and a 15min walk to Central Park
Hotel was in good location, staff very friendly and efficient, room was good size and looked out on to the Empire State Building, Breakfast was basic but plentiful, need to arrive early as gets busy later in the morning.

Good location

Posted Jan 13, 2017
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: I think the hotel could be updated slightly. The landing on our floor was very dark and dull.
Good walking distance to most tourist attractions and subway just outside hotel. Overall happy with hotel but it could do with a little update. The landings were very dark and dull and the breakfast eating area was often untidy due to residence not tidying up after them. Maybe a clear up after themselves policy would be good. Also we were a little disappointed that of our 4 breakfasts there was only bacon once. Overall the breakfasts were good although maybe get away from the plastic cups and paper coffee cups. Lifts were busy but we generally never had a problem. We could have done with some seating in our room. With 3 adults staying together we left the bed-settee made up but then there was no where to sit. The bathrooms were very small but adequate. Overall the location was perfect and walking distance from most tourist landmarks.

Great location, friendly staff.

Pros: Free breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Times Square, Broadway, Macys, Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, Ripleys Believe it or Not, The Ride, Fox News Building, Bryant Park.
Our room was nice and had a great view. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices. We also used the fitness room and enjoyed the bar/restaurant. We were able to walk everywhere, Times Square, Broadway, Top of the Rock and plenty of shopping. We used valet parking and it was a breeze. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Great Hotel and Location

Posted Jan 9, 2017
Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Sergio, at the front desk, told us about all of the best attractions, restaurants, and methods of travel. Numerous attractions from Times Square are in walking distance. The hotel also had great, inexpensive options for traveling to and from the hotel. Housekeeping quickly provided extra linen and towels upon request, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Would stay here again

You can't beat the location.

Posted Jan 1, 2017
Pros: Location, early check in. Almost the full kitchen - big fridge, pots, pans, cutlery etc. Nice bed.
Cons: Elevators are crowded and slow. It can take 20 minutes to get an elevator ride during busy times. Breakfast food is average.
Location: It's 5 minutes walk to Times Square. Broadway theater district right around the corner. So the location is great.
I asked about early check in. Officially the check in is at 4 pm. We arrived at 8:30 am in the morning - and we've got a room on the spot. It was very nice. Elevators in this hotel are cursed - so busy and over the week they've been repaired 3 times. Breakfast schedule is a bit brutal for a leisure traveler - during the week it ends at 9:30 am and on weekends at 10:00 am. While the web site advertises the full kitchens - hot plates and kettles are by special request. Once requested - these items were promptly delivered.

Nice hotel within walking distance to Times Square

Posted Dec 27, 2016
Great location to walk to many tourist attractions including Broadway, Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, shopping, Bryant Park. Easy access to subway across the street. Breakfast included. Only problem was 1 elevator broke down during stay, so there was a quite a wait at times for the other 3 elevators.

Personal and Comfortable

Posted Dec 24, 2016
The front desk staff especially Layja (spelling) on the evening shift are wonderful and so helpful. The room was spacious and even had a crock pot in the kitchen. I would recommend with the breakfast buffet that Marriott offer real cups and cut back on the paper accessories and be a better green choice. Also keeping the buffet open until 10am with both sides being available would cut back on the horribly long lines and food running out. I noticed the staff closed one line at 9am and with the hotel full it takes 20 minutes minimum to get an elevator, so this causes back log.

Not a nice experience

Posted Dec 12, 2016
First I called the hotel before I made the reservation thru Expedia. I asked if they have 2 queen beds and a sofa because we are 4 Adults . Mom , dad, daughter and son . The answer was yes we do. Two days before I called again and asked if they have roller beds and they said NO but you are fine because you have the 2 suite which has 2 queen beds and a sofabed. What a surprise when we arrived and their was only 2 queen beds. I asked and they told me that non of their rooms have sofabeds with 2 queen beds. 2. I asked for extra comforter and blankets to make a bed on the floor. After 2 calls, 1 personal talk to the receptionist and a 3rd call they finally sent the blankets. 3. The bath tub had "black long hair" on the wall. I had to clean it before my husband and kids took a shower. Absolutely disgusting. We have Marriott points but I have never been in a Marriott like this one. Worst experience ever in a hotel and we do travel a lot.
