property in need of major updates. lobby area, lounges / bar (all closed) in poor condition and look sad. Carpet in rooms is stained and old. stains on furniture etc. I remember the Royalton back in the late 90' being full of life, in beautiful condition. It was sad to see the property in poor condition.

no bar or restaurant inside the hotel however there are several options within the block for either. fantastic staff, from the staff working the reception desk to the maintenance and cleaning staff. will come back again.

Property is no way a 5 star it barely is a 3star . No restaurant no bar. When you enter it looks like the place is about to shut down. In the room fridge not working , toilet seat broken, heater very noisy!No porter at entrance . Though the staff is very friendly and helpful . Would not go back

Everyone was so nice there. They honestly treated us like we were family! The place has a cool, art deco vibe - although it could use an update, it still was a great place to stay. The bar wasn't open and that seemed like something they should open back up. We would definitely return to the Royalton!

I do think they need to do some renovations because there were a few damage items that they have used tape to fix and not fully fix but other than that the tub is amazing and the room is a nice size and in a great location

The reception people are very friendly. I also liked how clean everything was going through the lobby even just in the hallways going to my room. It smells amazing throughout. If I had to complain about anything, I'd say the carpeting in the room was pretty stained so maybe a change of flooring. The rest of the room was very nice and the bed was great.

Like staying in a ghost town. A once vibrant place now with an empty lobby that echoes a bygone era. Depressing. But the room was comfortable.

Very clean and very nice staff. This once lively property is still suffering from the pandemic. Bar is closed. Restaurant is closed. No room service. No coffee maker in room. Mini bar is empty. Price was right, though. Try the Lamb's Club Bar (Upstairs bar) just on the next block--classic NYC.

We loved staying at the Royalton but it is odd that the hotel has no restaurant or bar. However, we knew that when we booked so it wasn't a problem. Other than that, we had a lovely big room and the staff were great. We would definitely stay here again.

This was absolutely hands down the best hotel that we have ever stayed in when in NYC! Great location, beautiful warm decor, clean, super friendly staff, loved it. No complaints whatsoever. Is definitely our new go to hotel when in the city!!!!

Property is perfectly located, just outside of Times Square but walkable distance. Everything was perfect and service was too much, much attention to detail and available for every hour! Will choose it again and recommend it ❤️

I had one of the most amazing experiences I have had in NY to date staying at this hotel. It was clean room was beautiful and staff 10/10 so helpful especially Stefano at the front desk he is a Gem TRULLY an asset to the hotel

nice property,nice location but needs some improvement, like coffee on the lobby even if its for sale. when in need of some ice i request some in the lobby i was told some will bring it up to the 14th floor, NEVER happened 1 1/2 hr later went to lobby AGAIN, the lady at the desk said ill get some so i followed her and she ill bring it up to you, NEVER happened and for the 3rd time came down to the lobby 1hr later and the bucket of ice sitting exposed on a coach, other than that it wasnt that bad

Somethings could be better for this hotel i definitely think it needs abit more love pumped into it. But ill say this my stay was enjoyable. My room which i had upgraded by Management's Front desk since the tv wouldnt connect to my phone. The upgrade was definitely something to talk about. The room was clean and well prepared. The Front desk concierge, the short bald headed guy with the glasses i cant remember his name was definitely professional and on point with answering questions and providing great customer service, hats off to him. Ill definitely be flying it again and staying at this hotel. Hope the next time the bar and restaurant is open that would make it even better. Great job to the Maintenance staff that helped with my tv situation cant remember his name but i think he had a Jamaican accent. Great job to everyone... I'll definitely be back.

Normally I would choose a location in NoMad or Flatiron, but I wanted to be in Midtown so I could walk everywhere. Completely served it’s purpose. I was a little sad that there was no bottled water in the room to stay hydrated. The room was large for one person and the water pressure of the hotel was strong. Great find for a city with so many selections.
