Great location. Misses modern amenities

The kings suite couch extra bed was terrible. Had to pay for internet. Room good and clean. Bathroom door lock was broken. Staff was polite.

Great location.

Great location great staff. The place has seen brighter days but that's easy to resolve. Cleaning the place deeply especially the AC units would make a huge impact and difference. Front desk and bell captain Al and others amazing.

Nice hotel for price and location

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Pros: It was quiet and extremely well located . Multiple subway lines available within a block's walk. Everyone was polite and helpful.
Cons: The cost for WiFi was a lot. The room was quite warm which wasn't a real problem, but we couldn't get it to be cooler.
Location: It was short blocks away from 5th Ave, Central Park, Columbus Circle and multiple subways to all other popular locations.
It's very nicely located in Midtown. It's a very old hotel from when they built thick walls so it's very quiet. No noise heard from the hallways or neighboring rooms. My disappointment was that WiFi was an additional charge, depending on the number of users in the room. The staff was polite and helpful. Our stay was very comfortable and we would stay there again.

No breakfast this time round

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Room presentation, staff were a little indifferent
No breakfast this time round unfortunately - though there is a Starbucks across the road. Hotel rooms are a little tired and in need of a refurb, though perfectly adequate and very good location. Some staff were helpful, though others were indifferent and it appeared that the IT system was not working well - they couldn't provide me with a laundry receipt afterwards.

Older hotel but well situated

Posted Mar 18, 2017
Pros: Asked for a quiet room and was given a room at the back of the hotel that had a kitchenette!
Cons: There is no wifi in the hotel.Had to use an outside service provider that was expensive and slow.
Location: The hotel is well situated and is also close to the subway. We were able to explore all the sites easily. Wonderful food market across the street.
This was a great place for us to stay and explore the Big Apple!! Room was a bit " tired" and bathroom decidedly " retro" but we were comfortable and it was very clean. The kitchenette was an unexpected bonus. Staff were for the most part friendly and accomodating.

Spacious and close to sights and transport

Posted Mar 18, 2017
Pros: Central location and spacious suite
Cons: Door key entry was challenging to master.
An excellent place to stay for a holiday in New York.
